Muttville is changing the way the world thinks about and treats older dogs.
Every day...
dogs in good health with wonderful personalities are euthanized. Why? Because they're older, and not considered adoptable. A dog is brought in because he can't jog with his guardian anymore. Or he needs a little time to get up the stairs. Or he’s simply not a puppy. In some cases, dogs are moved from loving homes to concrete cages because their guardians have died or simply can't care for them anymore.
We reach out to senior dogs at risk, give them the care they need, and find them loving forever homes. If we had our way, no dog would spend their last days in a shelter. There is so much love and joy in these dogs!

Muttville Fundraiser as Retirement Tribute to Lori Harrison
Lori Harrison is a lover of animals and has shepherded many dogs and other creatures through their onstage roles at SF Opera. Let's celebrate all she's done for SFO pups and people by fundraising for this incredible organization that is the country's first cage-free shelter and California's first senior dog rescue. Who knows, maybe Lori will begin her retirement with a new furry friend!

Help Senior Dogs Find Loving Homes - In Memory of Kris Grein
This donation page is in memory of Kris Grein, who was an avid dog lover. Her devotion to her dogs, Freddie and Tommy, mirrored the generosity and compassion she extended to all those around her. Her heart was filled with love for both humans and animals alike. Your donation will go to Muttville, a dog rescue for senior dogs in the Bay Area.
