San Francisco Foodies has a Foodie Potluck Picnic every year, this, the tenth anniversary a vote by our 3000 members choose Muttville as our non-profit for donations. 

Every attendee is asked to donate $20. 

San Francisco Foodies is not collecting money directly. 

Previously our high was $5000 in 2016.

When I adopted Stella from Muttville three and a half years ago, I had no idea the impact she’d have not just on my life but the folks we’ve met along the way. 

And with her recent cancer diagnosis, I thought I’d try to give back in a meaningful way to the rescue who brought her into my life. Every dollar counts y’all!

As a way of celebrating Tricia's life, the family invites you to make a donation, in her name, to the Muttville Organization, their goal is to find loving homes for older dogs. This was a special cause that was dear to Tricia.

Muttville is a San Francisco rescue that gives senior dogs the love and care they deserve. They take in older dogs who are often overlooked, provide medical care, and help them find cozy forever homes. We’ve fostered 37 dogs through Muttville so far, and it’s brought us so much joy. Supporting their work helps more senior dogs find the comfort and care they deserve.

Muttville is changing the way the world thinks about and treats older dogs.

Every day...
dogs in good health with wonderful personalities are euthanized. Why? Because they're older, and not considered adoptable. A dog is brought in because he can't jog with his guardian anymore. Or he needs a little time to get up the stairs. Or he’s simply not a puppy. In some cases, dogs are moved from loving homes to concrete cages because their guardians have died or simply can't care for them anymore.

We reach out to senior dogs at risk, give them the care they need, and find them loving forever homes. If we had our way, no dog would spend their last days in a shelter. There is so much love and joy in these dogs!

It is a sad reality that every day, perfect dogs with wonderful personalities face an uncertain future simply because they are older and perceived as less adoptable. Whether a dog requires a little more time to get up the stairs, can no longer jog, or is simply not a puppy, they often end up in shelters. In some of the most heartbreaking cases, dogs are surrendered after their beloved guardians pass away or are no longer able to care for them. Our mission is to actively reach out to these senior dogs at risk, provide them with the compassionate medical care they need, and find them loving forever homes. We truly believe no dog should spend their final chapter in a shelter, especially when they have so much love and joy left to give.
