Mahibere Kidusan, a registered non-profit in the US and an integral part of the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church, has been at the forefront of social assistance projects, aiding communities, monasteries, and traditional schools grappling with social upheaval, displacement, conflict, and drought in our beloved country. From Jijiga to Lalibela, from Arsi to South Omo, we've tirelessly worked to provide vital support where it's needed most. Through your generous contributions and unwavering support, Mahibere Kidusan has spearheaded over 37 emergency social assistance projects, channeling over 45 million birr into critical aid such as clothing, food, and supplies. Mahibere Kidusan not only provides spiritual services through its sub-centers using various mechanisms like 24-hour television and other media but also extends its reach to provide spiritual and humanitarian services in different parts of Ethiopia and the USA. Additionally, it plays a crucial role in assisting the rehabilitation and sustainability of monasteries and their monks. Now, as we face another challenge, Mahibere Kidusan is gearing up to support those affected by the ongoing social crisis directly in Ethiopia. Our goal is clear: to launch a large-scale humanitarian mobilization campaign, alleviating the hunger crisis gripping our communities, monasteries, and traditional schools.
