The mission of Mercy Housing Southeast (MHSE) is to create stable, vibrant and healthy communities by developing, financing and operating affordable, program-enriched housing for families, seniors and people with special needs who lack the economic resources to access quality, safe housing opportunities. Founded in 1996, MHSE has developed or preserved 44 affordable communities providing homes for over 4,200 low-income residents across seven states.

While affordable housing is critical to stability, addressing other risk factors holistically improves life outcomes. Mercy Housing provides resident services whose goal is to empower people to achieve stability and prosper. Our priority program areas are economic mobility, youth academic enrichment, health and wellness, and community engagement. Residents in our communities typically earn 30% to 60% of area median income. Over 90% are people of color, two-thirds are female, and many face inequities that impact education, health, and other life outcomes.

Donations to MHSE would support housing creation and valuable programming and resources that assist residents to achieve their goals.
