**Our Mission:** The Foundation continues Father Giuseppe’s legacy by ensuring access to high-quality healthcare in Northern Uganda and improving health standards and living conditions, especially for vulnerable community members. **Father Giuseppe**: Known affectionately as “the Doctor of Charity” by Ugandans, Father Giuseppe dedicated thirty-two years of missionary service to elevating the small medical dispensary of Kalongo into a highly efficient hospital. Alongside the hospital, he established St. Mary's Midwifery Training School, which has since gained official recognition as one of Uganda's premier midwifery institutions.  

**Focus area:** Amidst the challenging backdrop of historical conflict and ongoing hardships in the Agago District, Dr. Ambrosoli Memorial Hospital (DAMHK) in Kalongo serves as a vital healthcare lifeline, extending its services not only to the local community but also to six neighbouring districts. Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is an international medical humanitarian organization created by doctors and journalists in France in 1971.

In over 70 countries around the world, MSF saves lives by providing medical aid where it is needed most—in armed conflicts, epidemics, natural disasters, and other crises.  The people who work for MSF are doctors, nurses, midwives, epidemiologists, water-and-sanitation experts and many others who combine their professional expertise with a commitment to the world’s most vulnerable people.  Each year, these medical teams run close to 470 projects where they care for millions of people.  

As an organization, MSF is neutral and operates independently of any political, military, or religious agendas. It does not take sides in armed conflicts, provides care based on needs alone, and advocates for increased independent access to victims of conflict and disaster as required under international humanitarian law. Medical teams conduct evaluations on the ground to determine a population's medical needs before opening programs, aiming to fill gaps that exist (rather than replicating services that are already offered) or reach communities that are not being assisted.  Over the years, the organization has been the recipient of several awards that recognize its work, including the 1998 Conrad N. Hilton Humanitarian Prize, the 1999 Nobel Peace Prize, the 2012 J. The Butterfly Art Project (BAP) is a registered South African non-profit organisation, established in 2010 and formally registered in 2013. We support people’s healing, especially children’s, from trauma through art, helping to build communities of healed people, with resilience, stability and creativity, who fulfil their potential, while creating spaces for others to do the same. BAP trains and supports Community Art Facilitators (CAFs) to provide art therapeutic classes to children in under-resourced communities in the Western Cape, Gauteng, and Northern Cape Provinces. During each term an Art Project is completed which guides children in exploring and developing confidence in using an art medium, while exploring a topical theme relevant for the children's age group through the completion of an art project. Children in under-resourced communities experience higher levels of stress and are at higher risk of experiencing trauma and require help in learning how to process stress and heal. 

OUR PROGRAMMES

1. Heart For Art Programme

An after school programme providing weekly art therapeutic classes to 220 children per week aged 6 – 21 from the local community. Each school term the children complete an art project on a topical theme which they explore in a safe space through art, developing confidence in using different art mediums, developing their creativity, and creating a completed art work.

2. Love Bugs Programme 

A specialised programme working with severely neglected children not in school. Each school term, 60 children aged 5 – 12, who are not in the formal education system, attend the Love Bugs Programme 4 times a week. This programme helps them to stabilise, improving their school readiness and preparing them to enter the formal education system.

3. Community Art Facilitator (CAF) Programme

BAP trains, mentors and supports autonomous Community Art Facilitators (CAFs) to provide art therapeutic classes to children and youth in under resourced communities. All BAP training and mentoring is free. In order to ‘pay’ for the training, CAFs must implement with at least 7 children per week. All CAFs must complete the 24-Hour CAF Foundational Early Beginnings Module, implement for 24 hours and present a Portfolio of Practice to demonstrate their competence. BAP uses an effective hybrid training and mentoring delivery system comprising of in-person and online sessions. This maximises accessibility and cost efficiency. BAP has a faculty of experienced expert trainers and mentors in the 25 topics trained – 20% of the trainers are BAP staff and 80% are contracted service providers. We currently support a CAF Movement of over 400 CAFs working in over 140 communities providing over 20,000 children and youth with art therapeutic classes.

4. Art Campaign and Exhibition

An annual Art Campaign is run on a pertinent topic culminating in a public exhibition in the end of the year. At least 40 CAFs attend workshops on the art campaign topic and participate in mentoring circles to support them in working with the children they teach to produce artworks for the exhibition. At least 300 children’s artworks are displayed in the public exhibition. Previous Art Campaign themes include Manifesting the New in 2021, Trial of Courage in 2022, Cruelty & Compassion in 2023 and Celebration of Life in 2024.

4. Project Cocoon

Project Cocoon supports CAFs in establishing and strengthening their own initiatives through intensive training, mentoring and coaching. From 2020 - 2023, thirteen CAFs participated in Project Cocoon and significantly strengthened their community based art organisations serving children independently of BAP. These 13 Project Cocoon CAFs'  community art organisations work in 15 communities serving 330 children and youth a week. From 2024 onwards, Project Cocoon will focus on assisting CAFs who wish to establish their own autonomous Love Bugs Model Programme in the communities in which they work.

Inviolate Initiative increases the accessibility of mental health assessments in the immigration cases of survivors of domestic abuse and trafficking. Inviolate strengthens survivors’ access to legal victory and mental health as they seek lawful U.S. immigration status. Our mission is to connect undocumented survivors to all of their own power, agency, and possibility as they heal from the cruelty they have suffered, and as they move beyond to continue building their own lives, on their own terms.

Inviolate is a fiscally sponsored project of the [Center for Transformative Action (CTA)](https://centerfortransformativeaction.org/index.php), an educational 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that is legally and financially responsible for all our activities. 

**The Problem**

Undocumented survivors are among the most under-served, otherized people in the world, standing at the harrowing intersection of disenfranchisement based on socioeconomics, race, ethnicity, immigration status, sexual orientation, and gender status. Mental health care is a significant need for this population, with many traumatized by abuse. However, psychological studies show that mental health is historically not a “community priority” for this group, and foundation and grant funding for this need has been decreasing. Barriers to mental health care for this population also include individual survivors’ lack of financial resources. 
  
Mental health assessments carry an importance beyond psychological wellness. The assessments can culminate in thorough psychological evaluation reports, which serve as evidence in survivors’ immigration cases.  Through Inviolate Initiative, comprehensive mental health assessments are provided so that undocumented survivors can protect their own due process rights, present their immigration cases fully, and begin to heal and thrive.
 
**Our Approach**

By expanding access to psychological evaluations in the context of the immigration cases of undocumented survivors of domestic abuse and trafficking, Inviolate Initiative recognizes that assessing and documenting mental traumas and conditions is essential to due process and mental health. Inviolate partners with nonprofit immigration organizations that are providing legal services to applicants for immigration relief, supplementing their services with Inviolate’s mental health assessments and evidentiary reports.

Why LilyPads Was Started

Our founder's family has spent much time at UVA Children’s Hospital (and Boston Children's Hospital) when their daughter, Lily, was little and fighting for her life. The medical care was excellent — but the days were long, the nights were sleepless, and the costs piled up fast. They often felt like they were alone and drowning.

That’s where the seed for LilyPads was planted.

They wondered, *what if there was a better way?*
What if families had a soft place to land — a real bed, a warm meal, someone to say, “Hey, you’re not alone”?

LilyPads was born out of that question. Out of the memory of sleeping upright in a hospital chair. Out of the hope that no parent would ever again have to choose between being with their child and affording a place to sleep.

We are an LGBTQ+ nonprofit helping queer people and their close ones feel safer in Russia.

Coming Out LGBTQ+ Group has been helping LGBTQ+ people in Russia since 2008 by providing free psychological and legal support to LGBTQ+ people, engage in educational activities, produce information materials on LGBTQ+ issues and related topics, conduct research and engage in international advocacy, work with the wider society to recognize rights and freedoms for everyone, regardless of sexual orientation and gender identity. Since 2022 Coming Out has been working primarily online from outside Russia, though the work is still aimed at LGBTQ+ communities and their environment within the country. Within 2023 Coming Out has been working on over 40 court cases, provided >800 legal consultations, >3400 free psychological consultations, 275 peer-to-peer consultations for trans\*persons, conducted 2 studies with over 10,000 respondents, published numerous materials with an average 400 000 views monthly.

We aim to educate and empower youth and their families to navigate the unique pressures and challenges they face. We also strive to break down the stigma surrounding mental health, particularly in sports. Through our efforts, we will empower youth and young athletes from underrepresented communities to reach their full potential.

**How frequently will you make grants from the Fund?**

In general, Fund Managers will review grantmaking decisions on a quarterly basis, based on the value of Funds and the available options for high-impact grantmaking. We may disburse funds outside of quarterly review dates if we become aware of a particularly promising and time-sensitive funding.

**How will my contribution be used?**

All funds are granted out — every dollar contributed to the Fund will be used to make grants directly to end-user organizations creating a real difference.

Four boys in long-term foster care recently spent a week in the Florida Keys thanks to the Jose Wejebe Memorial Foundation and Misty Wells’ A Reel Future. For children who have endured trauma, instability, and loss, the trip was more than just fishing, dolphin swims, and exploring coral reefs—it was a chance to laugh, feel safe, and create memories of joy. From cooking their own catch to learning about conservation, the boys experienced what it means to be cared for and supported, often for the first time.

Their counselor said the experience was “truly unforgettable,” and one of the boys shared, “This breath of fresh air finally brought peace to such a whirlwind of a world we live in… it showed me the sun is always shining, and that there are people that do care about us foster kids.” That is the power of your generosity. The Rivanna Area Queer Center provides a safe refuge for all LGBTQIA+ people 
in Charlottesville and the surrounding counties.

LGBTQIA+ people need spaces of our own where we can take refuge, build resilient communities, and organize for our collective liberation. RAQC provides a safe and loving home for the queer community in Charlottesville and the surrounding counties. Programming at RAQC addresses multiple areas of need: support groups, peer counseling, and on-site mental health professionals contribute to the emotional wellbeing of our community. Classes and workshops on topics as diverse as screen printing, foraging, and self defense address our physical and creative needs. Social events like mixers, parties, and performances ensure that our region’s vibrant queer culture continues to flourish. In addition to our own programming, RAQC also serves as a safe and accessible space where all local queer organizations and individuals can host their own events.

Since 2009, Gator Wilderness Camp School has served over 180 boys and families in Southwest Florida.

Gator Wilderness Camp School is located in Charlotte County in southwest Florida. Located on a 250 acre property, Gator Wilderness Camp is a year around camping program designed specifically to serve adolescent boys from the ages of 11-15 years old. This group of boys is significantly struggling to interpret a myriad of issues in their families, schools, and communities. We are a private, non-profit (501C3) organization dedicated to sharing Christ’s unconditional love with families and their sons. It is the goal of Gator Wilderness Camp to pursue relationships with those in need and to offer a navigational beacon of hope and healing in the name of Christ.

Zera Bolivia Foundation fosters indigenous-led education, enabling self-empowerment, financial independence, and social mobility.

**Zera Bolivia** is an Aymara-led foundation that hosts classes and events for kids as a response to colonial norms, championing indigenous self-determination—especially for women and girls—through transformative education grounded in emotional intelligence, critical thinking, self-awareness, and practical tools for financial independence.

We began in 2015 with a socio-emotional learning pilot at a women’s prison in La Paz, and have since grown to reach thousands of children, youth, and families across Bolivia’s nine departments. Collaborating with municipal governments, the Ministry of Education, and local communities, we co-create culturally adapted programs that honor each community’s priorities and values. Thanks to our community and donor support, we have provided training, world-class educational materials, and technology infrastructure to prisons, children’s hospitals, rural areas, schools, and grassroots groups—always centering local leadership.

From the “Qantatai” literature podcast to “Bolivian Thinkers for Everyone By Zera,” our initiatives celebrate Bolivia’s intellectual heritage and open new pathways for dialogue and growth. Participants often report stronger emotional well-being, improved academic performance, and greater economic opportunities. As we look to the future, we are developing our first “STEM for Indigenous Young Women” program in El Alto and across 20 rural provinces of La Paz, in partnership with India’s STEMED NETWORK.

Zendo Project: Peer Support and Compassionate Care

We exist to provide members of the special operations community(active/retire or family) free clinical mental health services. 

SOF Network aims to provide answers for two major gaps within the clinical mental healthcare of the SOF community: finding qualified licensed clinicians, and funding for their services. 

Our mission at SOF Network is two-fold: first, we aim to provide excellent clinical mental health care to members of the SOF community(active-duty/retired) and or their family members. Currently, we are the first and only directory of licensed clinical mental health clinicians who specialize in working with the SOF community. Our network is comprised of clinicians who have all been recommended and vetted by individuals within the SOF community. Our overall goal is to make sure each and every licensed provider has a strong cultural competency when it comes to the SOF community. 

Secondly, we aim to provide free services to the SOF member (or family member) by raising funds and collaborating with community partners in the SOF community with similar goals.

Based on a research-backed understanding of the Religiously Unaffiliated population, Your Move Collective orchestrates digital journeys designed to guide individuals from apathy to becoming resolute seekers of Jesus.

For over a decade, Your Move with Andy Stanley--a TV program containing practical, Christ-centered content--aired on NBC after Saturday Night Live and CBS after The Late Late Show and currently airs, on TBN and UPtv, in television markets nationwide.  In 2022, over 80 million messages were accessed via our broadcast purchases.  Another 10 million messages were accessed through other online digital placements.  But viewership has never been our end goal.

Our goal is engagement.

Not simply engagement with us.  Ultimately, our goal is for religiously unaffiliated people to engage with a local church.  Not a small task to say the least.  But one we are committed to nonetheless.  And thanks to generous donations and support, we are making progress.

We aim to advance the mental wellbeing of our South Asian community.

In 2021, during their freshman year of college, our founders Ravi Parekh and Aaron Pandian suffered the loss of their close friend and roommate, Farhan, in a tragic murder-suicide where he took the lives of himself and his family. 

Farhan was struggling with a variety of inadequately treated mental illnesses. However, like so many members of the South Asian-American community, his parents simply lacked the tools, resources, and education necessary for providing him the care he needed.

They recognized that, as an immigrant South Asian family, they lacked the tools, resources, and education necessary for providing Farhan the care he needed. The tragedy of Farhan and his family revealed that there are many mental health issues unique to the cultural characteristics of South Asians. Understanding that these environmental factors and structural barriers to effective care created the situation which led to this tragedy, we theorized a youth-led grass-roots advocacy and education initiative that equips South Asian youth and other interested parties with access to tools and resources to understand, process, and empower.

Grass-roots efforts are often inspired by lived experiences. Our passion and drive to bridge the gaps in mental health care for South Asian individuals stem from our lived experiences.

Knowledge is empowering, and part of understanding mental health is to both learn and express empathy for those affected who are unable to receive effective care. To learn not to fear mental illness as a sibling, parent, friend, significant other, or affected individual and employ newly acquired tools that work to connect with the resources they need. 

MHISA embodies these ideals and provides us an outlet to engage those around us with a shared goal: to enable South Asians struggling with mental illness to lead better and healthful lives.

My Dog Is My Home's mission is to increase access to shelter and housing for people experiencing homelessness with animals.

My Dog Is My Home is a national nonprofit dedicated to increasing access to shelter and housing for people experiencing homelessness with companion animals. By securing their ability to maintain their most important relationships and find adequate shelter, we ensure every family’s right to build a home.

We assist service providers like homeless shelters in expanding their programming to allow humans and their companion animals to remain together. My Dog Is My Home’s programs currently fall into three categories: storytelling, community building, and technical assistance.

STORYTELLING
Storytelling is at the foundation of our work. We believe that people who are impacted by the problem are necessarily close to the solution. My Dog Is My Home provides a platform for people with actual lived experience of homelessness and animal companionship to share in their own words how co-sheltering people and animals together contributes to ending homelessness. Through exhibitions, speaking events, and video or narrated images, we are able to educate members of the public, program administrators, and policymakers about preserving the human-animal bond in circumstances of homelessness.

COMMUNITY BUILDING
We believe in the mantra that we are “stronger together.” My Dog Is My Home holds space for members of the homeless services and animal welfare communities to come together to connect, learn from one another, and solve mutual problems. Most notably, our community building efforts have created two related but distinct stakeholder watering holes: 

1) Annual Co-Sheltering Conference
Since 2021, My Dog Is My Home’s annual conference has drawn 400-500 people together from across disciplines to hear from homeless shelter programs about co-
sheltering models in practice, latest research in homelessness and animal companionship, and relevant policy efforts across the US and globally.

2) Co-Sheltering Collaborative
The Co-Sheltering Collaborative is a peer-to-peer learning network with membership that
spans across animal welfare and homeless services. This Collaborative meets as a large group on a quarterly basis to exchange resources, troubleshoot, and hear presentations from members on the progress of their work. In between large group meetings, working groups meet to produce deliverables that work towards collectively developed goals. The Collaborative also provides a sustained community for attendees of the annual conference.

TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE
My Dog Is My Home also works with homeless shelters that need more hands-on assistance with developing or implementing co-sheltering. We provide customized training, consultation on policies, and resource coordination to ensure a successful co-sheltering program.

SIPA enriches and empowers generations of Pilipino Americans and others in Historic Filipinotown and throughout Los Angeles.

SIPA is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization serving Historic Filipinotown and other neighborhoods throughout Greater Los Angeles County. SIPA produces programs for youth and families including case management and counseling, after school programs, senior programs, small business development, cultural enrichment, and affordable housing.

The Center for Racial Justice in Education (CRJE) works to construct a new reality within our country's public school system; a world where all young people learn and thrive in equitable and affirming educational spaces. CRJE’s work with districts, schools, organizations, and community members result in empowered educators and leaders who are better equipped to build educational institutions that foster equitable outcomes, and ensure that all students have safe, inclusive, and culturally responsive spaces to learn.

 Since 2012 alone CRJE has trained over 17,000 educators/leaders, reached over 167,000 youth, and worked with over 400 educational partners in 17 states. Our work consists of intensive leadership and professional development trainings, longer-term, in-depth coaching and consultation, community-driven climate assessments, and youth-adult partnerships, all customized to meet the unique needs of each educational partner. In the long-term, through collective practice for educational equity at the institutional level, and through mutually accountable partnerships and coalition building at the community level, we aim to build an education system and spaces where all youth feel safe, and have access to a high-quality education. In this system, we will see:

- Students who are emotionally, physically and academically thriving. 
- Educators and leaders who have an ongoing, consistent practice of building educational communities grounded in equity. 
- Caregivers who are empowered to actively engage in community building.
- Public policy that has shifted to reflect racial equity and justice in education.

MAPS works towards a post-prohibition world by advancing research, changing policies, and shaping culture. 

Since our founding in 1986, the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies (MAPS) has been the leading organization building the movement to foster evidence-based approaches to psychedelics and the people who use them. When used safely and responsibly, psychedelics have the potential to promote personal growth and well-being and treat various mental health conditions. Three pillars guide our efforts: advancing research, changing policies, and shaping culture.

The ongoing, global War on Drugs has been justified by bad science, racism, and fear for too long: it has led to mass incarceration; erosion of civil liberties; ecological damage; economic waste; and the public health polycrisis of adulteration, poisoning, and overdose. Many of these harmful effects have disproportionately impacted the most historically exploited and oppressed communities. Consequently, we believe societies worldwide have an obligation to account for and repair those harms, to the extent possible.
