I gave because Genesis Community Health expresses Christ's love through free medical, dental and mental health care as well as social and spiritual support to low income uninsured Treasure Valley neighbors. This is possible through 250 volunteers and hundreds of local individual, business, and foundation donors. They are being the hands and feet of Jesus to people who otherwise would not access healthcare.

Help make MDMA an approved medicine for PTSD. Historically, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) has been notoriously difficult to treat and cure, but MDMA-assisted psychotherapy holds incredible promise. In trials with 107 participants, 56% no longer qualified for PTSD. At the 12-month follow-up, 67% no longer had PTSD. Most subjects received just 2–3 sessions. All participants had chronic, treatment-resistant PTSD and had suffered from PTSD for an average of 17.8 years.

This is addressing the root causes of PTSD and not simply masking symptoms, as many maintenance drugs do. It’s actual processing instead of numbing.

On August 16, 2017, the FDA granted Breakthrough Therapy Designation to MDMA for the treatment of PTSD, and there is a clear path for making MDMA a legal medicine for millions of people who are suffering.

This is the final stretch. MAPS has until September 10 to raise $10 million in order to unlock a $10 million challenge pledge. This, combined with $10 million already committed, will complete the $30 million Capstone Campaign. This will provide the funds needed to complete the studies required for FDA approval, and bring this much-needed treatment to patients.

Our mission is to protect LGBTQ+ youth in Poland from the harms of homelessness and refugeehood. 

The Warsaw House Foundation's mission is to protect homeless and refugee  LGBTQ+ youth in Poland and provide them with the tools they need to live independently. Our inspiration was the  Ali Forney Center  (AFC)  n NYC, which is largest organization in the world offering support to homeless LGBTQ+ youth. We are honored that Carl Siciliano, the AFC's founder is on the board of the Warsaw House Foundation and works as an advisor. We place extra attention on HIV and STI education, support and prevention with the help of board member Dr. Joanna Kubica and the Smart Life Clinic in Warsaw.  After we took in our first LGBTQ+ youth to house on February 14th, 2023  we have been flooded with calls for housing and support from young people in need.  These are Polish Trans 18 year-olds from the Polish countryside in desperate need to escape their abusive and intolerant homes, young queer people with PTSD and untreated mental illness who need housing and support immediately, LGBTQ+ refugees from Ukraine and several young gay men from Iraq who suffered torture in their homeland, were detained and imprisoned at the Polish/Belarussian border for up to two years, and are now trying to build their lives in Poland.  We are also housing and supporting young LGBTQ+ people from Uganda and Egypt,  We are raising money to support the young people under our care, to house and feed them and pay for their medical needs and courses needed for them to start an independent life,  We are also raising money to hire staff (all of WH's work is now done by volunteers), to continue the renovation of our residential building and for short term emergency rentals.  We have a committed and professional team and a well planned strategy for both emergency and long term care.  Any help would be greatly appreciated!! **About cluster headache**

Cluster headache ("suicide headache") is often considered the most painful medical condition. Patients [rate it](https://doi.org/10.1111/head.14021) as significantly more painful than childbirth, kidney stones, gunshot wounds, and bone fractures. Standard painkillers don't help.

Even in wealthy nations with advanced healthcare, **hundreds of thousands** still experience torture-like suffering every year. About 50% of all patients have contemplated suicide. At the same time, global funding for cluster headache is virtually nonexistent. **This crisis cannot go on any longer.**

**Psychedelics save lives**

Psychedelics like psilocybin, LSD, and DMT have shown promise in treating cluster headache pain, in some cases with 70–80% of surveyed users reporting significant relief. Some patients even achieve complete remission.

Often, low, sub-hallucinogenic doses are more than enough to prevent clusters or stop attacks acutely. Patients could self-medicate safely and with minimal side effects.

However, only a tiny minority of patients have access to these life-saving treatments. Given the severity of the pain, the situation is analogous to refusing anesthesia to patients during surgery. **This is absolutely unacceptable.**

We began in 2015 with a socio-emotional learning pilot at a women’s prison in La Paz, and have since grown to reach thousands of children, youth, and families across Bolivia’s nine departments. Collaborating with municipal governments, the Ministry of Education, and local communities, we co-create culturally adapted programs that honor each community’s priorities and values. Thanks to our community and donor support, we have provided training, world-class educational materials, and technology infrastructure to prisons, children’s hospitals, rural areas, schools, and grassroots groups—always centering local leadership.

From the “Qantatai” literature podcast to “Bolivian Thinkers for Everyone By Zera,” our initiatives celebrate Bolivia’s intellectual heritage and open new pathways for dialogue and growth. Participants often report stronger emotional well-being, improved academic performance, and greater economic opportunities. As we look to the future, we are developing our first “STEM for Indigenous Young Women” program in El Alto and across 20 rural provinces of La Paz, in partnership with India’s STEMED NETWORK.

The Ellis County Children's Advocacy Center is dedicated to providing a safe and supportive environment for child abuse victims and their families. We offer comprehensive services, including forensic interviews, counseling, and advocacy, to help children find hope and healing and seek justice. Our multidisciplinary team collaborates closely with law enforcement, medical professionals, and child protective services to ensure that each child receives the care and protection they need. Humans On The Loop is a transdisciplinary inquiry into the nature of agency in our age of automation.

In our AI-infused society, the gap between imagination and “reality” is smaller than it’s ever been — and now it’s time for humankind to graduate from asking if our dreams are possible to asking how we can dream better. This means cultivating deeper self-awareness, more discipline and humility, and a better metaphysics of technology to help us wield these new superpowers. But decades into a period of rapid information scaling, our grasp of consensus reality and executive function have eroded, causing an epistemic crisis. The wicked problems of this century require coordination at unprecedented scale, but our greatest natural resource — attention — has worn even thinner than our topsoil. How do we regenerate it and restore the faculties we need to be good stewards of this new ecology of minds?

Navigating the challenges that come with new information technologies is a group exercise and demands inherently plural approaches. The right response to tools that amplify our biases is to lean in with curiosity and play, not fearI have spent two decades studying and synthesizing  perspectives on intelligence and technology, innovation, and human-technology co-evolution…as well as testing bleeding-edge creative tools in public, helping cultivate systems literacies for navigating transformation, and fostering a massive network of mentors and collaborators with whom I share a devotion to the cultivation of a healthy Biosphere and Technosphere. As AI comes of age, this is the moment to recruit as many of them as we can into a multimodal public inquiry on wisdom and technology, power and responsibility, holistic practices for cultivating saner futures…and how we can keep Humans On The Loop and at the wheel.

This project exists to foster a renaissance of collaboration and the conditions for new ways of knowing. Its goals include to:

Delivering medical aid where it's needed most — independent, neutral, impartial.

Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is an international medical humanitarian organization created by doctors and journalists in France in 1971.

In over 70 countries around the world, MSF saves lives by providing medical aid where it is needed most—in armed conflicts, epidemics, natural disasters, and other crises.  The people who work for MSF are doctors, nurses, midwives, epidemiologists, water-and-sanitation experts and many others who combine their professional expertise with a commitment to the world’s most vulnerable people.  Each year, these medical teams run close to 470 projects where they care for millions of people.  

As an organization, MSF is neutral and operates independently of any political, military, or religious agendas. It does not take sides in armed conflicts, provides care based on needs alone, and advocates for increased independent access to victims of conflict and disaster as required under international humanitarian law. Medical teams conduct evaluations on the ground to determine a population's medical needs before opening programs, aiming to fill gaps that exist (rather than replicating services that are already offered) or reach communities that are not being assisted.  Over the years, the organization has been the recipient of several awards that recognize its work, including the 1998 Conrad N. Hilton Humanitarian Prize, the 1999 Nobel Peace Prize, the 2012 J. William Fulbright Prize for International Understanding, the 2015 Lasker-Bloomberg Public Service Award, and the 2017 Pardes Humanitarian Prize for Mental Health.

Concerning data reveals that 23% of Asian New Yorkers live in poverty, significantly higher than the citywide average of 16% of all New Yorkers. And a staggering 28% of Asian American older adults 65+ live in poverty. As the American Bar Association reveals, Asian elders, especially those from immigrant backgrounds, endure more social isolation and mental health struggles than their peers due to linguistics, financial, and cultural barriers. These factors combined significantly impact the mental and emotional well-being of Asian American older adults in a city where depression and suicide among older adult immigrants are on the rise.

**Heart of Dinner addresses these critical community needs by home-delivering to Elders with Heart of Dinner's signature nourishing care packages of culturally thoughtful and nutrient-dense food, bundled inside lovingly hand-illustrated bags, attached with uplifting handwritten notes in the Elder's native language.**

Dear Cherished Supporter,

Thank you for taking a moment to connect with our mission. We are so grateful for the opportunity to share our journey with you—a journey born from a deep, instinctive need to care for our Elders. **In March 2020, at the onset of the global pandemic, we leapt into action to support our Asian American elder community, who were facing devastating food insecurity, isolation, and loneliness.**

While many believe the urgency that defined the pandemic has passed, **the reality for our Elders remains critical. Even now, 1 in 3 Asian American older adults live below the poverty line.** These challenges are not new. For decades, this community has been overlooked, its struggles masked by the harmful “model minority” myth, which conceals the deep inequities faced by Asian American Elders. This, combined with language barriers, technology gaps, and economic hardship, means that many continue to lack access to the resources and care they deserve.

Out of a guttural instinct to protect and uplift our Elders, we **transformed our 300 square-foot apartment on the cusp of Chinatown and the Lower East Side into a sanctuary of cultural resonance and care.** We hyperfocused on those in the most critical state, providing emergency food relief and addressing their emotional needs through handwritten notes in their native languages, making sure our Elders felt seen, valued, and dignified.

**These care packages are more than just food—they are a lifeline.** Filled with culturally meaningful lunchboxes and fresh groceries beloved in Asian immigrant households like bok choy, rice, mung beans (and more!), all lovingly bundled inside decorated bags, attached with notes of love & joy that deliver warmth, connection, and belonging.

As our work evolved beyond emergency relief, we **built Heart of Dinner into a nonprofit focused on sustainable care.** Thanks to our incredible community of donors, partners, volunteers, and small team of staff, we have transformed into a **501(c)(3) public charity that continues to nourish and uplift our Elders, week after week.**

By Summer 2024, **we have delivered over 200,000 meals to beloved Elders living in significantly under-resourced and underinvested communities across New York City.** And our work is far from over. The challenges our Elders face didn’t begin with the pandemic, and they certainly won’t end with it. **These hardships are rooted in long-standing societal and governmental neglect, where policies and systems have historically overlooked the needs of this community.**

**Looking forward, we have plans to build Heart of Dinner's own delivery infrastructure with a fleet of electric vehicles, hire a dedicated team of drivers trained in our protocols—which emphasize cultural respect and thoughtful care when serving our Elders—and we aim to increase our care package distribution by 25%.** **These efforts will build upon our ongoing commitment to delivering care packages to our Elders and existing beneficiaries with the same high level of deep care and compassion.**

**Behind the scenes, we are strengthening systems to support Heart of Dinner’s sustainable growth,** so that we can continue to serve with deep care for years to come. **With these steps, we aim to cover all five boroughs of NYC—and even dream of extending our love and care to California.**

We are an LGBTQ+ nonprofit helping queer people and their close ones feel safer in Russia.

Coming Out LGBTQ+ Group has been helping LGBTQ+ people in Russia since 2008 by providing free psychological and legal support to LGBTQ+ people, engage in educational activities, produce information materials on LGBTQ+ issues and related topics, conduct research and engage in international advocacy, work with the wider society to recognize rights and freedoms for everyone, regardless of sexual orientation and gender identity. Since 2022 Coming Out has been working primarily online from outside Russia, though the work is still aimed at LGBTQ+ communities and their environment within the country. Within 2023 Coming Out has been working on over 40 court cases, provided >800 legal consultations, >3400 free psychological consultations, 275 peer-to-peer consultations for trans\*persons, conducted 2 studies with over 10,000 respondents, published numerous materials with an average 400 000 views monthly.

Boots on the ground, grassroots community effort to make Seattle beautiful and safe for all to enjoy

We Heart Seattle is an action-based, boots-on-the-ground movement that organizes trash cleanups in our public spaces and offers resources to those in need.  Through our direct civic engagement we lead the way to a more compassionate and healthy community.

To meet these goals, we:

* Organize regular volunteer trash cleanups in public spaces
* Offer individualized assistance to those in need 
* Create a sense of community by welcoming everyone to be involved in real civic engagement
* Build a network of people who no longer walk by neighbors in need and areas needing repair while expecting someone else to help
* Utilize all available safe housing, shelters, and treatment facilities for anyone who is ready
* House our neighbors quickly without the typical restrictions, delays and inefficiency that has kept many on the streets
* Clean up litter and eradicate graffiti
* Develop great partnerships with like-minded stakeholders
* Work cooperatively with city and county employees and leaders

We are a community-based, non-profit organization that serves the homeless and at-risk populations of the Mid-Peninsula. We establish environments and build relationships where community volunteers can provide food and clothing, as well as referrals for shelter, addiction recovery, and other personal support.

Street Life Ministries (or SLM) began in 2001 at the downtown Menlo Park train station. Today, due to the help of many people, it now serves over 35,000 meals a year, five nights a week, in Menlo Park, Palo Alto and Redwood City. For 20 years SLM gatherings have built a reputation as the one consistent place the homeless can count on. Whether it is a holiday, a cloudy or rainy day, SLM never varies from the set schedule, giving the homeless a stable option throughout the year.

SLM is an established 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with a board of directors, and is very different from many “feeding ministries.” It serves a unique role in the way it cares for the homeless and the hungry in San Mateo/Santa Clara Counties. Hot, home cooked meals served in outdoor venues are less threatening for our homeless neighbors, fostering a safe environment for relational connections to develop with the SLM leaders and volunteers. These connections build trust for guiding homeless friends toward healthier decisions, medical assistance, detox, rehab, housing, mentorship and counseling. In addition to food and encouragement, SLM provides clothing, toiletry kits, sleeping bags, medical supplies, temporary shelter, recovery services and job assistance to those in need. 

SLM is also unique because it places its staff and its services “in the streets”, and “in the camps”, where the homeless live. It reaches more homeless people directly in those street locations than traditional professional service agencies. Additionally, no other homeless non-profit in the area provides local residents with the large number (over 6000 hours per year, estimated) of volunteer hours of opportunity to meet directly and be served on a face to face basis as we do. Homeless folks need love, care, trustworthy friends, and reliable, regular support to improve and/or recover. SLM is “in the trenches and on the street” every day, helping our homeless neighbors. SLM’s outreach can be accessed at all hours of the day and night.
