Montgomery County Emergency Service saves lives and improves the quality of life for all Montgomery County residents through suicide prevention, mental health crisis intervention training for law enforcement, a psychiatric EMS ambulance – one of a few in the world, and inpatient psychiatric care. These programs are available to people regardless of ability to pay, reduce costs to the criminal justice system, make communities safer, and ensure that people with mental illness have access to high-quality, trauma-informed, strengths-based, recovery-oriented, and dignified care. Our services promote self-determination, hope, and empowerment, prioritizing living in community whenever possible.
