Maximize Meaningful Education Association (M2E)

Maximize Meaningful Education Association (M2E) was officially established in 2023. However, our work started in 2012 after our inspiring trip to Rwanda. In 2015, we partnered with the Ministry of Education of Rwanda piloting an innovative education model to demonstrate that similar education outcomes in private schools are possible in public schools. We developed the education model at Mubuga Primary School from 2015-2018 and then introduced it at Bukane Primary School in 2018, to validate how the model can impact an already successful school. The model at both schools has delivered significant performance improvements and is proven and scalable. The next phase consists of scaling the model to other regions in Rwanda and eventually other African countries. The M2E team consists of 7 members: the two founders acting as managing directors; one operations lead and 4 educational experts on the ground in Rwanda. M2E is headquartered in Switzerland, with an affiliate in the US. M2E has its local NGO registered in Rwanda with plans to grow its operations as the educational model gets further scaled. The Founders, Monique Bobadilla and Markus Gemuend, are actively engaged since the start, Markus lived and worked in Sub-Saharan Africa, and both frequently spend time in Rwanda to guide the progress to continuously establish and strengthen the necessary stakeholder relationships.
