Maison Sûre Foundation exists to serve the animals who are most often left behind. The critically ill, medically fragile, and hospice-level dogs in our shelter system who are running out of time.

Every day, shelters face impossible decisions. When animals arrive with severe injuries, advanced illness, complex medical needs, or terminal diagnoses, resources are limited and time is short. These dogs are often don't get the attention they deserve simply because their care is expensive, complicated, or uncertain. Maison Sûre was created to stand in that gap.

Our mission is simple, but profound: to pull critically ill animals from shelters and provide them with immediate medical care, comfort, dignity, and love, whether their journey leads to recovery or peaceful end-of-life care.

We believe that an animal’s worth is not measured by how adoptable they are, how young they are, or how much time they have left. Every life deserves care. Every animal deserves to be known, held, and loved.

Who We Serve

We focus exclusively on animals who are:

• Critically ill or severely injured
• Medically complex or fragile
• Diagnosed with chronic or terminal conditions
• In urgent need of emergency veterinary intervention
• At risk of euthanasia due to medical prognosis alone

These are the dogs most rescues cannot take not because they don’t care, but because the resources required are immense.

Maison Sûre exists because these animals need a place to go.

How We Achieve Our Mission

1. Strategic Shelter Intervention - We work directly with shelter partners to identify dogs facing imminent euthanasia due to medical conditions. When we commit to an animal, we act quickly often within hours to remove them from the shelter and transport them into medical care.

2. Emergency & Specialty Veterinary Care - Upon intake, each dog receives

• Immediate veterinary assessment
• Diagnostics such as bloodwork, imaging, and specialist consultations
• Emergency treatment or surgical intervention when indicated
• Ongoing medication, monitoring, and follow-up care

For animals whose conditions are not curable, we shift seamlessly into hospice-focused care, prioritizing comfort, pain management, and emotional well-being.

3. Hospice & Palliative Support - For dogs nearing the end of life, our role is deeply intentional. These animals leave the shelter environment and enter a safe, loving space where they experience:

• Relief from pain and discomfort
• Warmth, soft beds, and gentle handling
• Human connection, calm, and affection
• Dignity in their final chapter
• Some animals surprise us and recover. Others do not. In every case, they are no longer alone.

4. Foster-Centered Healing - Healing, whether physical or emotional happens best in homes. Our foster network provides individualized care, close observation, and a peaceful environment for recovery or hospice. Foster families are supported with medical guidance, supplies, and full organizational backing.

5. Adoption When Possible - When a dog recovers or stabilizes enough to thrive long-term, we thoughtfully place them into permanent, loving homes. Adoption is never rushed, and medical transparency is always prioritized.

Our Impact 2025: A Year of Critical Intervention

In 2025 alone:

• 150 critically ill animals were rescued from shelters
• 49 dogs were successfully adopted into loving homes
• Hundreds of veterinary appointments, procedures, and treatments were funded
• Countless animals experienced safety, comfort, and love instead of fear and isolation

Each number represents a life that would likely not have survived without intervention.

But numbers alone do not capture the full impact.

They do not show:

• the dog who slept in a bed for the first time
• the animal who felt gentle hands instead of concrete floors
• the moment a frightened dog realized they were safe

This is the heart of our work.

Looking Ahead: 2026 and Beyond The need is growing and so is our capacity.

In 2026, Maison Sûre is preparing to increase our rescue impact by 50%, allowing us to:

• Save more critically ill animals from shelters
• Expand emergency medical funding
• Strengthen our hospice and foster support systems
• Respond faster when time matters most
