Lotus Insight Sangha is a TLGBQIA2S+ community of meditation practitioners in Seattle, Washington. LIS holds frequent opportunities to build feminist, antiracist intergenerational community through meditation practice and investigation of the dharma. In this sangha, which means community, our investigation of the dharma and practice connects individual practice with collective liberation.
Through the guidance of the Buddha’s teachings, wisdom of sanghas, and TLGBQIA2S+ resistance we are coming into reality and moving past the common illusions produced by capitalism, white supremacy, settler colonialism, and heteropatriarchy. We are remembering to remember ourselves in the present moment, in shared community, facing our collective reality, and integrating our practice into daily life. This is vital to a world of social justice and wellbeing.
Through investigation of the dharma and meditation practice, we share the Buddhist path of liberation to support each other in our journey towards love and wisdom, safety and growth.
