The Lewis Clark Animal Shelter's mission is to promote the humane treatment of animals, prevent cruelty to animals and provide education to enhance the human-animal bond and to end pet over-population through an aggressive spay/neuter campaign. We have a vision, we have a dream. We are excited for the future of the Lewis Clark Animal Shelter.

Lewis Clark Animal Shelter has served the Lewis Clark Valley since 1950. The shelter provides vital services to animals and people alike through sheltering and adopting animals. The shelter provides positive reinforcement behavior training for adoptable animals (both at LCAS and through the PAWS Canine Training Program held at ICI-Orofino) and resources for LCAS adopted animals. LCAS has provided affordable clinic services vaccines, spay/neuter surgeries and a variety of volunteer opportunities, including our growing foster program. The shelter strives to educate the community on the importance of animal welfare.

LCAS plays an essential role in the health and safety of our pets and our community. We provide a safe place for stray or surrendered animals. We strive to educate the public on the value of pets as well as making informed care and help control the animal population. Together, we need to recognize the invaluable asset LCAS is to our community and help provide support we can to continue to push forward the mission of reunite, shelter, save, adopt and educate.

The Lewis Clark Animal Shelter is a nonprofit organization that relies on community support, contributions, grants, bequests, investments, fees for service.
