INCLUDEnyc’s mission is to promote positive futures and enhance the quality of life for New York City children and youth with disabilities, ages birth through 26, and their families. INCLUDEnyc empowers families of children and youth with disabilities with the knowledge, confidence, and skills to make informed decisions, effectively access and navigate systems and services, and advocate for themselves and other young people with disabilities and their families. INCLUDEnyc supports educators, youth workers, and other professionals to partner with families for successful, person-centered services, and to support and promote a family voice in the policy process.
We envision a world where there is love, equity, and access for all young people with disabilities.
Our Help Line delivers personalized direct assistance to parents, caregivers, and professionals in English and Spanish, with interpretation available in other languages, on a variety of disability-related topics.
Our workshops instruct parents, caregivers, professionals, and young adults on topics that cover early childhood, school-age, and transition-age issues. Individuals may attend in person or learn remotely through interactive virtual sessions with experts in the disability community.
Our multilingual resources provide crucial, up-to-date tools and materials with constantly evolving information and guidance from a wide variety of sources.
Our Project Possibility program brings intensive, direct support to help young people achieve education, employment, and community involvement goals. With the help of youth educators, young people create a tailored postsecondary action plan that can lead to a career and greater economic self-sufficiency. Bridges is an experiential learning component of the program that builds life skills essential for college, the workforce, and independent living.
We offer a variety of community events throughout the year. View our calendar for upcoming workshops and events.
