What started in 2019 with just 17 volunteers and a few hours of support each week has grown into a lifeline for thousands of people.

Today, more than 200 dedicated volunteers across the world give their time to ensure that someone is there to answer when a person reaches out for help. Together, they respond to more than 4,500 calls every month — each one representing a real person who may be struggling, overwhelmed, frightened, lonely or simply in need of someone who will listen.

At The HelpLine, every caller is met with compassion, understanding and zero judgement. Our volunteers provide a safe and confidential space where people can speak openly about what they are going through, often at moments when they feel they have nowhere else to turn.

And we are there 24 hours a day, 7 days a week — including Shabbos and Yom Tov.

As the number of people turning to The HelpLine continues to grow, so does the responsibility of keeping this vital service available whenever it is needed.
