Help Giving Gap Support Black Leaders!

Formed in 2020 as a response to protests calling for organizations to reform systems perpetuating racial and economic inequities, Giving Gap exists to advance racial equity in charitable giving and mobilize positive action for Black lives by connecting people to causes they care about. The organization's founders, with a background in philanthropy and tech, redirected their frustrations after the tragic losses of 2020 into creating a free digital platform that centralizes all of the nation’s Black-founded nonprofits with the premise that supporting these groups is a critical piece in tackling systemic racism. What began as a spreadsheet of 50 groups has grown to over 1,200 Black nonprofits representing a wide cross section of issue areas. We are building the movement to support Black-founded, not just in moments of crisis, but consistently so our communities may thrive! Your support helps to keep our service free for all users and supports ongoing data collection and research to address racial bias in giving.

Fees Every.org is a donor-supported nonprofit building accessible giving infrastructure and does not charge nonprofits or givers any fees of its own. For all donations using bank accounts, 100% will reach the nonprofits. Other payment methods have varying third party fees, usually 2.2% + $0.30 for Visa, Mastercard, or PayPal and 2.25% for Network for Good disbursement. These fees only apply to non-bank payment methods. Matches will be 100% of the paid amount up to $100 and disbursement fees will be covered for the match. For assets such as stock or cryptocurrency, the match will equal the fair market value of the assets at donation time. For example, if someone donates $10 using a Visa credit card and the nonprofit is not signed up for free direct disbursements, the original donation will be $9.48 after credit card fees and $9.26 after disbursement fees. A match of $10 will be added and disbursement fees will be covered for the matched amount, so the nonprofit will receive $19.26.
