Fundación Phaway designs and operates integrated digital platforms that strengthen public education systems, from school libraries and tutoring to connectivity and AI-enabled learning tools.
Currently supporting more than 100 school libraries and approximately 30,000 students, Phaway is developing a national-scale model designed to serve Chile’s 11,000+ public schools and to be replicated across the region.
THE CHALLENGE
Across Latin America, learning gaps begin early and widen over time. In Chile, 44% of adults lack basic reading and math skills (OECD). Students in vulnerable schools often fall years behind by age 12, while many public schools lack modern library systems, digital tools, structured tutoring, and reliable connectivity.

"Apadrina una Escuela – Nadie se queda atrás":
Imagina a un niño de 9 años en una escuela rural de Los Muermos o Fresia.
Se levanta temprano, cruza campos, llega con frío y ganas de aprender… pero la escuela no tiene internet confiable, los libros son pocos y viejos, y no hay dispositivos para practicar matemáticas o descubrir historias que le hagan volar la imaginación. Ese niño no está solo: miles de niños en el Chile rural enfrentan esta realidad todos los días.
La brecha no es solo de kilómetros: es de oportunidades, de futuro. En Fundación Phaway queremos cambiar eso. Por eso lanzamos "Apadrina una Escuela – Nadie se queda atrás" :
Con tu ayuda, una escuela rural completa recibirá: Conectividad satelital de alta velocidad (Starlink o similar) para que los niños accedan a clases virtuales y recursos digitales. Software de gestión de biblioteca para la promoción y fomento lector. Software con acceso a un tutor de inteligencia artificial para aprender y ejercitar matemáticas. Talleres y materiales de fomento lector (cuentos, animación, club de lectura) y refuerzo en matemáticas, para nivelar brechas académicas y despertar el gusto por aprender. Acompañamiento personalizado a docentes y directivos del establecimiento para mejorar los aprendizajes de sus estudiantes. Queremos que cada niño tenga las mismas herramientas que cualquier niño de la ciudad: conexión, tecnología y la certeza de que puede salir adelante. Con tan solo 10,000 USD al año por escuela logramos implementar el programa completo. Son más de 200 escuelas esperando por este apoyo. ¡Contamos contigo! Cada peso cuenta. Cada niño cuenta. Sponsor a School – No One Gets Left Behind
Imagine a 9-year-old child in a rural school in Los Muermos or Fresia. He wakes up early, crosses fields, arrives cold and eager to learn… but the school has no reliable internet, there are few and outdated books, and no devices to practice math or discover stories that spark his imagination. That child is not alone: thousands of children
in rural Chile face this reality every day. The gap is not just one of
kilometers: it is one of opportunities, of future. At Fundación Phaway, we want to change that.
That’s why we launched “Sponsor a School – No One Gets Left Behind” : With your help, an entire rural school will
receive: High-speed satellite connectivity (Starlink or similar) so children can access virtual classes and digital resources. Library management software to promote and encourage reading. Software with access to an artificial intelligence tutor to learn and practice mathematics. Workshops and materials for reading promotion (stories, animation, reading club) and math reinforcement, to close academic gaps and awaken the joy of learning. Personalized support for teachers and school administrators to improve their students’ learning outcomes. We want every child to have the same tools as
any child in the city: connection, technology, and the certainty that they can
get ahead. With just $10,000 USD per year per
