Imagine a 9-year-old child in a rural school in Los Muermos or Fresia. He wakes up early, crosses fields, arrives cold and eager to learn… but the school has no reliable internet, there are few and outdated books, and no devices to practice math or discover stories that spark his imagination.
That child is not alone: thousands of children
in rural Chile face this reality every day. The gap is not just one of
kilometers: it is one of opportunities, of future.
At Fundación Phaway, we want to change that.
That’s why we launched “Sponsor a School – No One Gets Left Behind”:
With your help, an entire rural school will
receive:
- High-speed satellite connectivity (Starlink or similar) so children can access virtual classes and digital resources.
- Library management software to promote and encourage reading.
- Software with access to an artificial intelligence tutor to learn and practice mathematics.
- Workshops and materials for reading promotion (stories, animation, reading club) and math reinforcement, to close academic gaps and awaken the joy of learning.
- Personalized support for teachers and school administrators to improve their students’ learning outcomes.
We want every child to have the same tools as
any child in the city: connection, technology, and the certainty that they can
get ahead.
With just $10,000 USD per year per
school, we can fully implement the program. There are more than 200
schools waiting for this support.
