Instituto Aspen Colombia

ABOUT:
The Aspen Institute is a recognized platform with over 70 years of experience. It brings together leaders from different contexts and motivates them to develop initiatives that contribute to building a good society. Created in 2021, The Aspen Institute Colombia provides a safe and non-partisan space where leaders can share and listen to divergent perspectives, engaging in constructive and pragmatic conversations.

PROGRAMS:
Aspen Colombia's main program "Leading Colombia 2050" (LC2050) is now in its third cohort, with around 24 fellows each. In 2024, with the support of our partner Colfuturo, Aspen Colombia will conduct three more cohorts of the program. LC2050 consists of Socratic method-led seminars to discuss the question of how to build a better Colombia. The program also includes field visits to different realities in order to bring participants closer to the country´s challenges and to leaders and organizations succeeding at building a better society. Additionally, Aspen Colombia gathers leaders from specific areas to discuss pressing issues in Socrates Seminars. The last one was hosted in Medellin, Colombia around the question: Can Democracies fix Democracy?
Although Aspen Colombia is an emerging organization, it has already summoned some of Colombia´s most impactful leaders, and LC2050 has begun to show results in the initiatives that fellows are spearheading.
