We work to ensure that every child, youth, and community in Antioquia has the opportunity to dream, learn, and thrive.
For nearly seven decades, the Fraternidad Medellín Foundation has been driving the comprehensive development of the Antioquia region in Colombia, creating real conditions for equity and opportunity for all. Our commitment has remained steadfast: to invest in people, strengthen communities, and open new pathways toward a fairer and more sustainable future.
1. Strengthening Social Organizations. For 50 years, we have supported and funded more than 450 social organizations working in various areas of development. Today, we actively support 114 organizations, enhancing their ability to transform lives and build lasting solutions.
2. Social Innovation Lab. Through strategic partnerships with public, private, and community actors, we promote innovative projects that address persistent challenges with creativity and evidence. This space fosters ideas capable of changing the course of entire communities.
3. Quality Rural Education. We believe progress begins in the classroom. That’s why we invest in improving rural education:
We have rebuilt and upgraded 120 rural public schools, 2 early childhood development centers, 4 learning parks, and 5 sports facilities, benefiting more than 50,000 people.
We also support programs focused on pedagogical improvement, strengthening language, math, and English skills, teacher and school leadership training, social and emotional learning, and digital connectivity and literacy in areas that previously lacked access to the internet.
4. Access to Higher Education. For many rural youth, studying beyond high school once seemed an impossible dream. Today, thanks to our Fraternidad Scholarship Program, more than 5,000 young people have gained access to technical, technological, and university education—transforming their lives and those of their families.
This strategy begins with a career and vocational guidance program offered during the final years of secondary education.
We also support young athletes from Antioquia who embody the region’s spirit of perseverance as they pursue their path toward the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games.

Let’s support Deiner on his road to Los Angeles 2028
At Fraternidad Medellín , we know that dreams don’t always walk… sometimes, they run.
They run with the strength, discipline, and hope of young people like Deiner Guaitotó Córdoba , an 18-year-old athlete from Carepa , a municipality in the Antioquia region of Colombia, who proves every day that talent and hard work can break any barrier. Deiner is a sprinter who not only challenges the stopwatch, but also the social barriers and obstacles along the way. From a very young age, he fell in love with athletics and found in sprinting a way to express his character: determined, brave, and full of energy. His steps have led him to become a youth champion in the 100 meters , with a time of 10.31 seconds , earning gold medals for Antioquia and proudly representing Colombia on international stages. He is now training harder than ever to improve his times and reach 10.10 seconds in the 100m and 20.3 seconds in the 200m by 2026 . His talent has made him shine at the National Games , regional championships, and international events like the Ibero-American U18 Championships , where his performance confirmed that he’s not just running fast — he’s running for something greater: his Olympic dreams , to inspire other young people , and to prove that someone from Antioquia can go as far as they dare to dream . For Fraternidad Medellín , sharing his story is a reminder that our commitment to people goes beyond any finish line: it means planting seeds of trust so that talent can flourish and opportunities can reach the places that need them most . With every race, Deiner teaches us that dreams move at the speed of courage and faith . That, with discipline and support, a young man from Carepa can become a source of pride for Antioquia, for Colombia, and for all of us who believe in the power of sport to transform lives . Today, we celebrate his achievements as an athlete, his remarkable potential, and his personal growth as he sets higher goals for himself. We are proud to walk — and run — beside him on this journey that, we’re sure, will take him across many more finish lines and closer to that great Olympic dream that keeps him moving: faster, stronger, higher . Hopefully, all the way to Los Angeles 2028 . This is not just one athlete’s dream. It’s the inspiration of many children who now see him as a role model.
