Friends of King William Animal Shelter (Friends) was established in 2023 as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in collaboration with King William County and the Regional Animal Shelter (RAS). Friends was formed to provide a means to obtain and manage grants, donated funds, and supplies, as well as to support and enhance the programs at RAS. With the newly formed Friends of King William Animal Shelter and other volunteers from our community, we can bring our lifesaving rate up by having funds for more low-cost spay/neuter and rabies clinics for community pets, have additional funds for medical emergencies not covered by the County, and help caretakers feeding community cats by having Trap-Neuter-Return clinics available for free. Donations are 100% tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
