DUAL Tools Initiative is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to placing innovative tactile learning tools into hands that need them.
We focus on practical, hands-on resources designed for blind, low-vision, DeafBlind, and neurodiverse learners—tools that encourage exploration, independence, and meaningful engagement.
Rather than creating materials in isolation, we work directly with educators, therapists, and vision professionals to field test every tool in real classrooms and programs. Feedback from these placements guides continuous design improvements and helps ensure each resource is intuitive, durable, and genuinely useful across ages and ability levels.
Donations support both production and placement. A typical contribution helps cover materials, assembly, packaging, shipping, and direct distribution to schools, vision programs, and community organizations. As production costs decrease, each dollar places more tools into circulation.
We believe access to effective learning tools should not depend on geography or funding. That’s why we prioritize underserved programs and itinerant educators who often lack dedicated resources.
Every $100 in donations helps produce and place a tactile learning resource directly with teachers and programs that need them. Donors are notified where their support is put to work—creating a closed loop of donations given, resources placed, and impact reported.
Early placements include Helen Keller National Center, where donated resources now support the DeafBlind Immersive Experience.
At its core, DUAL Tools Initiative exists to remove barriers to learning through thoughtfully designed, tactile-first resources—placing tools where they will be used, valued, and shared.
