The Centre for Catalyzing Change (C3), formerly known as Centre for Development and Population Activities (CEDPA), India, started working in India in 1987 and has emerged as a key change-making organization focused on improving the condition of women and girls in the country. C3 has built a significant amount of social capital on the ground, working across 9 states of the country. It has collaborated and formed knowledge, technical and funding partnerships with institutions such as Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Azim Premji Philanthropic Initiative, WHO, Ford Foundation, Packard Foundation, Amazon Cares, Linde Gas and State Governments of Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, Uttar Pradesh, Assam, West Bengal, Chhattisgarh, Delhi and Haryana.
C3’s program verticals -- Girls Education & Youth Development, Reproductive Health and Rights and Gender Equity & Governance have designed solutions that mobilize, equip, educate and empower women and girls to meet their full potential, to grow up as educated, informed, confident citizens of India; to live dignified and healthy lives, and to emerge as leaders in their communities. The work is directly aligned with Sustainable Development Goals 3, 4, 5, 8,10, 17 (SDGs).
