Centre for Catalyzing Change (C3), formerly known as CEDPA India, has been working since 1987 to advance gender equality and improve the lives of women and girls across India. Over the last four decades, C3 has emerged as a leading social impact organization, implementing community-driven programs across 12 states in partnership with governments, institutions, philanthropies, and grassroots stakeholders.

C3 works at the intersection of girls' education, youth leadership, reproductive health and rights, gender equity, governance, and livelihoods. The organization equips women and girls with the knowledge, skills, confidence, and opportunities needed to lead healthy, dignified, and empowered lives.

C3's key programs include:

  1. Girls' Education & Youth Development
  2. Reproductive Health & Rights
  3. Gender Equity & Governance
  4. Women Economic Empowerment

Through evidence-based and community-centered approaches, C3 works to strengthen access to education, improve reproductive and maternal health outcomes, prevent gender-based discrimination and violence, promote youth leadership, and increase women's participation in decision-making spaces.

C3 has collaborated with several national and international partners including the Gates Foundation, Ford Foundation, Fondation CHANEL, Packard Foundation, Credila Financial Services, and multiple state governments across India.

Mission: C3 is a women's rights-based organization working to transform the lives of marginalized women and girls in India by building agency, enabling access, and advancing accountability.

Our mission is to drive systemic change across health, education, and gender equity through individual empowerment, community leadership, and institutional transformation. We equip women and adolescent girls with the knowledge, confidence, and skills to claim their rights and make informed decisions about their lives and futures.

C3 works closely with communities, grassroots women leaders, governments, and institutions to strengthen gender-responsive systems, improve access to quality services, and promote inclusive governance through evidence-based and women-centered approaches.

By delivering integrated and sustainable solutions, C3 strives to ensure that no woman or girl is left behind in the journey toward justice, health, and equal opportunity.

Vision: At C3, we envision a just and equitable world where every woman and girl lives with dignity, autonomy, and equal opportunities, regardless of her socio-economic background or identity. We believe lasting change is possible when women and girls are empowered not just as beneficiaries, but as leaders and active agents of change.

Our vision is to create a future where women and girls can make informed decisions about their health, education, and lives - free from violence, discrimination, and systemic barriers. We strive to strengthen health, education, and governance systems by embedding gender equality and human rights into policies, services, and community action.

C3 works towards building accountable systems, mobilized communities, and inclusive leadership where women's voices shape decisions at every level. We envision empowered women and girls driving sustainable and equitable progress for generations to come.

NAVYA: Reimagining the First Period Experience

For millions of girls in India, menstruation begins with confusion, fear, and silence. Many receive little or no information before their first period, leaving them unprepared to manage this important milestone with confidence and dignity. Misconceptions, stigma, and lack of access to menstrual hygiene products can negatively affect girls' health, self-esteem, school attendance, and overall well-being. At Centre for Catalyzing Change (C3), we believe that every girl deserves a positive first-period experience. Through NAVYA, we provide young adolescent girls aged 11-13 with a thoughtfully designed First Menstruator Kit that combines menstrual hygiene products, age-appropriate educational resources, and guidance to help them understand and manage menstruation safely and confidently. The kit is more than a collection of products - it is a tool for empowerment. It helps girls navigate puberty with accurate information, encourages open conversations about menstruation, and equips them to make informed choices about their health. By addressing both practical needs and social stigma, NAVYA supports girls in building confidence during a critical stage of adolescence. Why Your Support Matters Your support will help us: adolescent girls from underserved communities. Provide First Menstruator Kits to adolescent girls from underserved communities. Deliver menstrual health education sessions that dispel myths and misconceptions. Equip girls with knowledge about their bodies, health, and hygiene. Foster supportive environments where menstruation can be discussed openly and without shame. The Impact of Your Support Every NAVYA First Period Kit reaches one adolescent girl with essential menstrual hygiene resources and educational materials. Each girl receives accurate, age-appropriate information on menstruation, puberty, and hygiene. Girls gain the knowledge and confidence needed to manage their first periods safely and with dignity. The program helps challenge menstrual stigma by engaging conversations within families, schools, and communities. By supporting girls at the onset of menstruation, NAVYA contributes to improved health, self-esteem, and well-being during adolescence. Every contribution helps ensure that a girl's first experience with menstruation is met with knowledge, support, and confidence - not fear or uncertainty.
