The range of museums in Bruges is impressive. In the Groeninge Museum, the Old St. John's Hospital and the Church of Our Lady you can admire the art of the great Flemish Primitive painters, like Jan van Eyck and Hans Memling, together with the works of other great Flemish Masters. And while the Flemish Primitives are the undisputed jewel in the crown, there are also many other masterpieces waiting to be discovered: from modern visual art to the world famous statue of the Madonna and Child by Michelangelo and the renovated Gruuthuse Museum (from the spring of 2018).
