Every child deserves a safe library
For nearly 100 years, McMillan Memorial Library, Nairobi's oldest library, has stood in the heart of the city. Over the past eight years, Book Bunk has worked to reimagine what the future of this and other public libraries could look like. Now it’s time for all of us to help build that future for our children and generations to come. We’re working to transform the children’s section of McMillan Memorial Library into a warm, safe, and inspiring space for young readers. Your contribution will go towards installing sanitation facilities, repairing and furnishing the children’s area, expanding both digital and physical collections, providing devices, and implementing strong child protection measures, all hallmarks of public libraries we have fully restored in the eastern part of the city. Together we can make this vision a reality and ensure that every child in Nairobi has a library where they can learn, play, and dream!
