Aspire Debate Rwanda (ADR) is a youth-led, youth-serving non-profit organization legally registered with the Rwanda Governance Board (RGB) since 2018. Founded in 2014 by university students passionate about debate and public speaking, ADR has grown from a single campus initiative into a nationwide movement driving youth empowerment. We equip young people with 21st-century life skills, economic opportunities, and provide platforms for advocacy and awareness. Our mission is to nurture intellectually vibrant, self-reliant youth ready to lead change in communities. Through partnerships and support of passionate individuals, our programs are now in over 50 secondary schools and 22 universities, ADR has pioneered major regional and national debate platforms, including the East African Universities' Debating Championship (EAUDC) and Commonwealth Universities' Debating Championship (CUDC).

Empowering the Next Oboma Generation

Imagine having a powerful story to tell, an idea that could inspire, persuade, or lead change but lacking the voice or confidence to share it. This is the silent struggle faced by many young Rwandans who dream of making a difference but are held back by limited public speaking and debating skills. At Aspire Debate Rwanda , we believe that when young people are equipped with the tools to communicate effectively, they become leaders, innovators, and change-makers in their communities. We have seen how debate transforms self-doubt into confidence, and silence into powerful advocacy. But today, as funding sources decline, the future of this life-changing work is at risk. That’s why we are turning to you, our supporters, friends, and champions of youth potential. Your donation, no matter how small, even just $10 can help us continue nurturing the next generation of articulate, confident, and responsible leaders . Your support helps restore hope to a young person who dreams of being the “Obama or Ngozi Okonjo ” of their community, but just needs a platform and the right mentorship. Be the spark that lights their path. Join us and keep their dreams alive.
