ArteEast is a leading NY-based nonprofit dedicated to promoting contemporary arts of the Southwest Asia and North Africa (SWANA). Through public programming, strategic partnerships, and online platforms, ArteEast is a forum for critical dialogue and exchange.
Through a broad range of activities---including film screenings, exhibitions, educational programs, artist-specific resources, a resource-rich website, the ArteHub signature event series highlighting contemporary arts and expression from the SWANA region, a legacy ArteArchive program preserving and presenting 17+ years of film and video programming from and about the SWANA region, and much more---ArteEast aims to elicit a broader and deeper understanding of the region's arts and cultures among an increasingly global audiences as well as to encourage artistic excellence.
