Angels for Animals (officially registered as Alpha Angels Animal Trust) is a women-led, grassroots nonprofit organization based in rural Goa, India, working to rescue, sterilize, heal, protect and rehabilitate injured, abandoned, and vulnerable street animals.

Our Story:

After years of volunteering informally, sisters Sejal and Shraddha Vora registered Alpha Angels Animal Trust in 2021 with a vision to provide structured, sustainable care to the hundreds of street animals suffering in Goa’s neglected villages.

Our Vision:

Our vision is to foster a community where humans, companion animals, and wildlife coexist peacefully and harmoniously.

What We Do

🐾 Rescue & Heal
We respond to distress calls, rescuing injured, abandoned, and abused animals. From surgeries and emergency treatment to long-term rehabilitation, we give them a fighting chance.

✂️ Spay/Neuter & Vaccinate
To break the endless cycle of suffering, we run spay/neuter and anti-rabies vaccination programs. This not only controls population growth but also prevents rabies and improves community health.

🏡 Rehabilitate & Shelter
Some animals can’t survive on the streets again. We give them sanctuary and lifelong care to the paralyzed, the blind, the elderly. Those who can recover are rehomed with loving families or safely returned to their communities.

🤝 Educate & Engage
Through our Surakshit Goa program, we bring people together to reduce conflict and cruelty. We host workshops, resolve grievances, and encourage compassionate, responsible pet ownership.

Our Impact So Far

  • 7,000+ animals treated and given medical care
  • 4,000+ spay/neuter surgeries and vaccinations completed
  • Community workshops engaging citizens to build awareness
  • A growing team of vets, paravets, and community responders working 24/7

Why It Matters

Street animals in India live hard, dangerous lives - hit by vehicles, stoned, poisoned, or left to die of untreated injuries. In Goa’s rural villages, there is almost no access to veterinary care. Your donation directly changes this reality.

  • $50 can vaccinate and sterilize one street dog
  • $100 can provide emergency care and rehabilitation for an injured animal
  • $500 can support a year of sanctuary care for a disabled or elderly dog

Every dollar saves lives.

Our Next Big Goal

We want to build Goa’s first dedicated 24-hour animal hospital and sanctuary - a permanent, purpose-built space where no call for help goes unanswered. Alongside this, we’re expanding Surakshit Goa to reach thousands more citizens with education, conflict resolution, and collaborative action.

Recognition

  • FCRA-approved for international donations
  • Registered with the Animal Welfare Board of India, 80G compliant

👉 Be an Angel. Your donation brings hope, healing, and second chances to street animals who have no one else.

Lola’s Fight for Life: From Roadside Tragedy to Hope

Meet Lola ❤️ Just four months old, Lola was hit by a car and left on the road for two long days. By the time we reached her, the bone was sticking out of her leg, and her tiny body was covered in maggot eggs. She was weak, in unbearable pain, and on the brink of giving up. She was rushed into emergency surgery, and one back leg was so badly damaged it had to be amputated. Her other leg was put in a cast and we are trying our best to save it. The prognosis, however, is not very good, and she may need another surgery to amputate that leg too. Through it all, Lola has shown an incredible will to live. Today, she is learning to adapt, balancing on her front legs, and showing us every day just how much strength a little soul can carry. Whether she keeps one back leg or none, Lola will need lifelong rehabilitation and medical care at our sanctuary , where she will be safe, loved, and given every chance at a happy, long life. Lola’s story is one of resilience, but we cannot do this alone. ✨ Your small donation, even $50, can help cover her surgery, rehab, and lifelong care . Be part of Lola’s journey. Donate now and help us give her the life she deserves. With gratitude, Team Angels for Animals
