ADES has been working to preserve Madagascar's forests and livelihoods since 2001. With solar and energy-saving cookers, reforestation projects as well as education and awareness-raising measures, ADES protects nature and creates perspectives on poverty and rural exodus.
By the end of 2022 ADES has employed 250 direct and 250 indirect staff, thus offering livelihood-improving job opportunities supporting some 3000 people. ADES has the capacity to produce 100'000 cookers a year, thus helping 100'000 families to save up to a sixth of their monthly income.
With the currently available possibility of certifying carbon emission reduction and selling them, ADES is in a unique position as an NPO to be able to multiply each USD donated with the factor of 2.5 for a sustainable investment into all our activities.
