Yemen Aid is one of the few organizations that is 100% dedicated to providing aid to the Yemeni people and putting an end to the current humanitarian crisis in Yemen. Dealing with the current challenges Yemen and it's people face requires problem-solvers who are willing to take risks. Yemen Aid emerged out of a pursuit to aid and support the Yemeni people, and a desire for actions to speak louder than words. Established in 2016 (AH 1438) by passionate young professional Yemeni-Americans, we’re an organization driven by immediate impact, bold actions, and a strong foundation of support. In recent times, Yemen has faced countless issues including political corruption, economic instability, and lack of civil liberties. Unfortunately, after the civil war broke out in 2015, the country's situation worsened, leaving Yemen in a state of disarray. Those who could leave fled to neighboring countries as refugees seeking asylum. Those without the resources to flee were forced to face an unimaginable fate. Homes have been bombed and destroyed, civilians have been displaced and left without shelter. The Yemeni people face famine, and children are dying of malnourishment. There is a shortage of medical supplies, and many hospitals and clinics are forced to shut down. Due to this lack of medical care, cholera and diphtheria have become epidemics, leaving thousands dead in their wake. The people of Yemen are suffering from all these factors and are in urgent need of immediate help.
