Power to Play is a dynamic initiative led by the Wrexham AFC Foundation, focused on regenerating Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA) pitches and expanding access to free football sessions across Wrexham and selected underserved communities in the US.

In Wrexham and many US communities, access to safe recreational spaces is limited. Power to Play tackles this head-on by revitalizing infrastructure and offering free, structured football sessions that build confidence, improve health, and strengthen community ties.

Football is more than a game—it’s a tool for regeneration, inclusion, and hope.

• Regenerate 10+ MUGA pitches across Wrexham and pilot US cities.

• Engage 2,000+ young people annually in Street Dragon sessions.

• Train and employ local coaches and mentors to deliver programming.

Wrexham AFC Foundation is the Club’s official charity. We use the power of football and the club to positively change the lives of children and young people. Bringing the club into the community through engaging programmes across Wrexham and beyond.

Over the past 12 months we have strengthened our presence across Wrexham and North Wales, delivering life-changing programmes and building key strategic relationships. At the same time, the story of Wrexham AFC has continued to inspire international attention, allowing us to share our impact, learn from others, and contribute to a wider movement for positive change through football.

This work would not be possible without the support and commitment of our key partners. The Premier League Charitable Fund, EFL in the Community, and SP Energy Networks have played a vital role in helping us deliver meaningful, long-term impact. Their belief in our mission, and investment in our programmes, has enabled us to reach more people, deepen our delivery, and widen our ambitions.

Central to our success is our team. We’ve taken significant strides on our journey to developing a best-in-class workforce, investing in our people, promoting a culture of development and ambition, and equipping staff with the tools and support they need to thrive.
