On-Site Baby Care to Keep Mothers in Training

We are raising funds to set up on site baby care spaces at our learning centers(3) to ensure that young mothers can participate fully and consistently in our training programs. Many of the young women we serve are eager to learn, but they face a major barrier because they have no one to care for their babies while they attend classes. As a result, they often drop out, miss sessions, or struggle to concentrate since they are worried about their children’s safety and well being.

The on site baby care spaces (3) will address this challenge by providing a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate environment for their babies throughout the training day. Trained caregivers will offer attentive supervision and early stimulation activities, which will allow mothers to focus on their coursework, build skills with confidence, and complete the program without interruption.

By removing childcare as a barrier, this initiative strengthens retention, improves learning outcomes, and ensures that young mothers, who are among the most vulnerable in our programs, can fully benefit from the opportunities we provide. This is not a shift away from our mission. It is an essential addition that supports women’s participation, dignity, and long term economic progress.
