If you believe that unhoused people deserve dignity, and you want to support your houseless Oakland neighbors, please donate to Town Bizness.

They use donations to make survival bags, distribute fresh meals, buy supplies, and for an emergency motel fund. Each survival bag contains thoughtful items like tuna packets, fruit snacks, protein bars, bathing wipes, and deodorant. They give the bags out weekly, and try to do one to two fresh meals per week too.

Town Bizness knows the houseless people in our community: they get to know them and what they need, and help them stay warm, dry and nourished. They distribute items like tents, tarps, pet food or meds, and safe stoves. Sometimes, if a person is really sick or in immediate danger, they put them up in a motel until they can get housed.

On a foundation of trust, Town Bizness volunteers are often able to help people stabilized and into housing. They've helped people get on food stamps, get back on their meds, get into treatment, and get into transitional housing. Many of their regulars have been able to get housed and stay housed.
