TORC volunteers build and maintain natural-surface trails across the Triangle—but much of that work still depends on volunteers bringing tools from their own personal collections. TORC currently owns no power tools, and our limited shared inventory has already forced us to turn away large community groups because we could not properly equip everyone.
We are raising $20,000 to create a centrally managed inventory of professional-grade hand tools, power tools, safety equipment, and trail-work supplies—including Backslope, Trail Boss, and Husqvarna equipment. Your gift will help TORC:
Welcome more volunteers and larger community groups at trail workdays
Respond faster to storms, erosion, drainage problems, and overgrowth
Equip crews working across multiple Triangle trail systems
Depend less on a few volunteers’ personal equipment and availability
Prepare for significant new trail-building and stewardship responsibilities in 2027
