I'm Running. . . an Ironman! In support of Sweat for Breath!
Call it a midlife crisis or too much coffee, but I am doing an Ironman 70.3 on Oct 19th! Not only am I fueled by caffeine — But, I'm also fueled by purpose. I’m dedicating this race to my friend and business partner, David Cornbrooks, who was diagnosed with ALK+ lung cancer nearly two years ago. David, who has never smoked a day in his life, is now fighting a battle he never expected, and his resilience has been nothing short of inspiring.
David and his amazing wife, Lisa, founded the Sweat for Breath Foundation to raise funds for cutting-edge research and promote awareness. This research gives patients, like David, and their families more “breath” -- more time that means everything.
With your support, we can fuel critical research and give more families a chance to breathe easier and live longer. Please join me in this race and contribute to Sweat for Breath. Together, we can make a real difference.
Lastly, special thanks to Tim Schnelle and the RaD Fam Team or the training support, motivation and inspiration during this process! Never thought I would be capable of this and you all helped me stay focused, disciplined and committed to the process.
