Help Us Develop FREE Curriculum for ALL

Over a decade ago, Jennifer Siebel Newsom released the groundbreaking film Miss Representation, sparking a national conversation about how mainstream media contributes to the under-representation of women in positions of power and influence. Since its broadcast premiere on the Oprah Winfrey Network in 2011, Miss Representation has set the gold standard for gender justice documentaries. Here are some impressive stats:

  • Viewed more than 28 million times across all 50 states and in over 70 countries.
  • Used by educators worldwide, positively impacting the lives of more than 2 million students.
  • Recipient of the 2023 NAMLE Media Literate Award for Media Literacy.
  • Recommended by the 2019 Health Education Framework for California Public Schools for classroom discussion.

The sequel, Miss Representation: The Revolution, is a call to action for a new, united wave of intersectional feminism grounded in partnership. To accompany this important film, we are developing a robust educational curriculum designed to spark essential conversations in schools and communities. This curriculum will disrupt limiting gender stereotypes, shift norms, and ignite change. Best of all, it will be available for FREE to all educators, students, parents, administrators, coaches, counselors, and community members!

Your support is critical in helping us reach students across the country and around the world as we work to change hearts and minds.

Would you consider supporting the development of this curriculum at one of the following levels?

  • Student Supporter: $1,000: Help develop the curriculum and provide access to it for 10 classrooms, ensuring that students have the tools to challenge harmful stereotypes and build a more inclusive future.

  • Classroom Champion: $2,500: Empower a school by funding curriculum development and access for an entire grade level, enabling deeper, more sustained engagement on gender equity issues.

  • Campus Hero: $5,000: Equip an entire school campus with the resources they need to foster an inclusive and equitable learning environment for all students.

  • Community Advocate: $10,000: Extend the reach of our curriculum to a broader community, impacting local schools, parent organizations, youth programs, and community centers to drive widespread cultural change.

Thank you in advance for your generosity and support. Together, we can transform education and build a world free of limiting gender stereotypes.
