One Connection: No One Survives Cancer Alone

When treatment ends, support disappears.

The oncologist visits thin out. The friends who promised to call stop calling. 52% of cancer patients report greater isolation after diagnosis. Among the most isolated survivors, mortality risk increases by 67%.

One Connection matches cancer survivors with trained peer supporters. Matched by cancer type, treatment history, and language. Weekly video sessions. Structured journey pathways from diagnosis through survivorship.

For bone marrow transplant survivors, 70% have no formal peer support. The entire peer support literature for this population consists of eight studies with 574 patients. No existing platform combines matched peer support, real-time translation, and structured journeys for cancer survivors.

One Connection fills that gap. One person who has been through the same treatment. One video call every week. One connection that changes recovery.

Your donation funds the first pilot quarter. Matching infrastructure. Video for peer sessions. Safeguarding training for peer supporters. Structured journey tracking for 50 cancer survivors through post-treatment.

One Connection is a Health Equity programme by The Educational Equality Institute. 501(c)(3) non-profit. Candid Platinum Seal of Transparency.
