OUR MISSION

Inspired by Susan Hurley’s boundless energy and encouragement of others, the mission of the Susan Hurley Fund is to support initiatives that cultivate connection, inspire personal growth, and uplift communities through positivity, support, and shared purpose.

OUR INITIATIVES

Taking inspiration from the cheerleader Susan was and her infectious love of Boston, our first initiative is to dedicate a bench in her memory at the Johnny Kelley statue in Newton, MA. We hope that this bench will serve runners training for Boston and community members looking for a place of respite and reflection.  We feel this bench is a fitting start to our commitment to the greater Boston community, and as we look towards the future, we are committed to thoughtfully stewarding all contributions and will share updates on the initiatives, programs, and opportunities supported by the fund.

To be considered for funding, an organization must meet several requirements; Applicants must:

• Be nonprofit organizations as defined in Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code
• Carry on their work principally in the New England area
• Not discriminate on the basis of race, creed, color, physical handicap, or gender.
• Support initiatives that cultivate connection, inspire personal growth, and uplift communities
