Founded in 1988, SupportWorks Housing (formerly Virginia Supportive Housing) is dedicated to ending homelessness across Virginia. As the state's largest and oldest provider of permanent supportive housing, we utilize an evidence-based "Housing First" model that pairs affordable, permanent homes with customized supportive services.
Every year, we serve over 1,500 individuals—including veterans, older adults, and people with disabilities or chronic health conditions—helping them achieve long-term stability. Our comprehensive programs offer case management, healthcare coordination, benefits assistance, and life skills training.
Through this integrated approach, more than 96% of the individuals we serve permanently exit homelessness.
