The Sudanese American Physicians Association (SAPA) was established in 2019 to empower Sudanese healthcare professionals in the U.S. while advancing medical education, expanding healthcare access, and providing humanitarian aid to communities in Sudan and beyond. As the war in Sudan broke out, SAPA became the largest medical organization rebuilding healthcare and delivering life-saving aid on the front lines. Over the years, SAPA has served over 1 million beneficiaries across 13 states in Sudan, delivering over 2 million meals, building 900+ mobile clinics and rehabilitating 130+ healthcare facilities. SAPA also takes specialists on medical missions to Sudan to facilitate life-saving surgeries. SAPA's teams in Sudan risk their life everyday to help serve our beneficiaries and restore hope. Together, we are globally empowered and locally led, delivering care by leveraging the expertise of the communities we serve to help serve them best.
