Breaking the cycle of poverty

Emergency Recovery for Mothers Wildfires in Lirquén (Chile)

SoyMás Foundation is raising $50,000 to urgently rebuild a Mother's and children community center in Lirquén–Penco, southern Chile, after devastating wildfires reduced much of the town to ashes, leaving families, without safe spaces, support services, or community infrastructure.

In the aftermath of the fires, mothers are caring for children while coping with trauma, displacement, and loss. The rebuilt community center will provide immediate psychosocial support, child-safe spaces, educational activities, community coordination, and emergency response services critical for families navigating recovery after climate related disasters.

This project is not only about rebuilding walls. It is about protecting children, supporting mothers, and restoring stability in a community that has lost nearly everything. With unrestricted support, SoyMás can act quickly, respond flexibly, and ensure the center meets the urgent and evolving needs of women and children as Lirquén–Penco recovers and rebuilds.

Unrestricted funds are essential to enable rapid reconstruction, local sourcing, and immediate care for families in crisis. Your support creates life stabilizing impact now and long term resilience for the future.
