Having worked as an Oncology and Palliative Care Nurse Practitioner for 15 years, I know firsthand the physical and emotional weight a cancer diagnosis carries. In Africa, 9 out of 10 children diagnosed with cancer tragically do not survive, largely due to a lack of specialized medical facilities.
