From Zimbabwe, Running for African Kids Who Deserve a Chance

In May 2027, I'll be lacing up for the Sanlam Cape Town Marathon, the first time an Abbott World Marathon Major has ever been held on African soil. It's a huge personal challenge, but I'm running for something bigger than a finish line.

I'm running with Team Shoe4Africa, an organization building sub-Saharan Africa's first dedicated children's cancer hospital, in Kenya. I live in Zimbabwe, and this isn't a distant cause to me, I see the struggle right in front of me every day. Children across our region have little or no access to specialist cancer care, and a diagnosis that should mean hope too often means the opposite. Thanks to the support of people like you, that hospital is nearing completion and will soon start giving these children a real chance at life-saving treatment.
