Hi everyone
At the end of October, I will be running two marathons in a week (Dublin and New York) in aid of Shoe4Africa.
Shoe4Africa is a hugely impactful not-for-profit charity established in New York in 2006 and dedicated to improving the lives of children in Africa. It built East and Central Africa’s first public children’s hospital, which has treated over 1.3 million children. It established six free-to-attend schools, generated hundreds of jobs, all while distributing over 8 million meals to those in need.
Shoe4Africa’s current key project is the construction of the first children’s cancer hospital in sub-Saharan Africa, where cancer diagnoses often comes with no access to treatment.
Every cent raised helps bring the hospital to reality.
