Northern Virginia Science Center Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that operates the Children's Science Center Lab at Fair Oaks Mall and STEM programs traveling to schools and other community venues. These experiences develop children's critical thinking skills and inspire curiosity for science and the world around them. 

As the region's primary resource for informal STEM learning, the Foundation is proud to have delivered mission-based programs to 480,000 children, families, and visitors since 2010. This includes unique and engaging educational experiences at both public and private schools across seven jurisdictions: Arlington, Alexandria, Fairfax, Prince William, Loudoun, Falls Church, and Manassas. To ensure equity of access to STEM, the Foundation offers subsidized programs to Title I elementary schools and a diverse group of social service partners. 

The Foundation is also developing the Northern Virginia Science Center in Dulles, VA, a world-class, interactive regional science center for families, students and learners of all ages made possible through a pivotal public-private partnership. With substantial support from partners across the region, the Science Center is expected to serve over 300,000 curious minds each year.

Verified Voting’s mission is to strengthen democracy for all voters by promoting the responsible use of technology in elections. We are a non-partisan organization focused exclusively on the critical role technology plays in election administration. Our staff, Board, and Board of Advisors consist of nationally-recognized subject matter experts on the issue of election integrity and the responsible use of technology. Since our founding in 2004 by computer scientists, we have acted on the belief that the integrity and strength of our democracy rely on citizens’ trust that each vote is counted as cast. In the ever-shifting world of election security, where new threats or challenges can emerge at any time, we are working to guide elections toward greater accuracy, security, and verifiability.

We promote socioeconomic inclusion in Latin America and the Caribbean through access to technology and skills training.

[The Trust for the Americas](https://www.trustfortheamericas.org/) provides underserved populations with access to technology and digital, entrepreneurial, and soft skills training in 400 learning centers, managed by a network of 59 local partners. Upon completion of their training, individuals who take these courses have improved access to jobs, start their own businesses, or pursue further education.

The Trust was established 27 years ago to **promote social and economic inclusion** for vulnerable communities in the **Americas** through partnerships with the public, private, and non-profit sectors. Our unique alliance with the Organization of American States (OAS) allows us to have access to decision-makers within the region. This foundational partnership is the basis through which we create strong networks across member states and the private sector.

Through its employability and entrepreneurship programs, The Trust has positively **impacted over 5.5 million individuals in 29 countries of the Western Hemisphere**, helping them on their journey towards economic independence for themselves and their communities.

Our mission: A long, healthy life for every child with cancer.

Children’s Cancer Cause is dedicated to monitoring, advocating and disseminating information about vital national issues facing children with cancer and their families. We are supported by corporate and foundation grants as well as caring friends and families. Our efforts focus on the day when childhood cancer will no longer be the leading disease killer of our children.

Childhood cancer remains the leading cause of death by disease for our nation’s children, and the health and well-being of childhood cancer survivors remains too fragile. Children’s Cancer Cause will continue to press for progress for national policies that can give our children access to the most effective therapies and can normalize their lives as they grow.

Founded in 1999, Children’s Cancer Cause was established to take a leadership role in advocacy and training on national issues affecting childhood cancer. We act as a catalyst to stimulate pediatric drug discovery and development and to help ensure care for our nation’s 500,000 survivors of childhood and adolescent cancer. 

We work closely with leaders in the National Cancer Institute, the Food and Drug Administration, Congress and the pharmaceutical industry to make a difference in the pace and efficiency of getting new treatments to children. We fill a strategic national gap, by advancing policy and system improvements with a sense of urgency from families and survivors that childhood cancer must be eradicated.

Black Sisters in STEM (Black SiS) helps Black Gen Z women breaking into STEM careers share, learn, and get hired.

Vision: Reinventing the path for Black women in early career stages pursuing STEM-based careers.

Black women constitute only 2 percent of STEM jobs. A statistic that has been stagnant since 2018. Black Women represent the largest unserved market and largest disruptive force in business. Black women struggle at every stage of the STEM pipeline. It’s not due to lack of desire, or capacity, it’s to lack of support.

Black Sisters in STEM (Black SiS) is on a mission to unleash the global brilliance of Gen Z Black Women by reinventing their journey towards STEM based careers. We are building and upskilling the largest talent marketplace of Black Gen Z women to systematically address the racial wealth gap and create generational socio-economic growth. In short, we help Black Gen Z women breaking into STEM careers share, learn, and get hired.

We have built an empire of ~8k Black women from 33 countries and 200+ schools. Growing membership at 75% YoY. Most importantly, earning our fellows $4M+ in compensation packages. From Lagos, Nigeria to Atlanta, GA we are building a career community the world has never seen.

Global Fishing Watch seeks to advance ocean governance through increased transparency of human activity at sea.By creating and publicly sharing map visualizations, data and analysis tools, we enable scientific research and drive a transformation in how we manage our ocean.

We generate new knowledge by using cutting-edge technology to turn big data into actionable information. We share that information publicly, and for free, to accelerate science and drive fairer, smarter policies and practices that reward good behavior and protect biodiversity, fisheries and livelihoods. By 2030, we aim to monitor and visualize the impact of ocean-going vessels, both industrial and small-scale, that are responsible for the vast majority of the global seafood catch.

Lex Mundi Pro Bono Foundation is a nonprofit organization focused on global pro bono support for social impact organizations. 

The Lex Mundi Pro Bono Foundation was created to support and empower those working on high-impact, sustainable solutions to social, economic, and environmental challenges. Established in 2006 as a nonprofit affiliate of our parent organization, [Lex Mundi](https://www.lexmundi.com/), our mission is to engage Lex Mundi’s global community of 150+ top-tier law firms across 120+ countries to bring critical, high-quality pro bono legal support to social impact organizations. Our flagship offering is our legal matchmaking program. We find and vet quality transactional legal projects with social entrepreneurs and connect them to skilled Lex Mundi member lawyers for assistance. Beyond the matchmaking program, we also provide legal mentoring to help social entrepreneurs become thoughtful and effective consumers of pro bono services; create, curate, and distribute guidance documents on common issues affecting social enterprises; identify resources to assist organizations as they grow, and; develop and facilitate clinics and other speaking engagements for social ventures.

With a rich history, the Association was formed in 1984 as the result of a consolidation between the American Association of Workers for the Blind and the Association for Education of the Visually Handicapped. 

We promote and support the professions by advocating for evidence-based practices, high-quality standards, value-added resources, and giving voice to issues of critical importance.

AER is committed to serving our members, affiliated chapters, and divisions through effective strategic planning conducted at all levels within the organization. AER’s Strategic Plan guides the association into the future and is periodically updated to ensure we are meeting the members’ and association’s needs.

Vehicles For Change empowers families experiencing financial hardship. Our Car Awards program provides repaired, donated cars to low-income families, giving crucial access to employment, essential services, and enrichment. 

Our training programs play a pivotal role in advancing economic justice. We train individuals with significant employment barriers—many of whom have criminal backgrounds—providing them with valuable skills in automotive technologies. We help foster personal and professional growth through training and support services, addressing economic mobility and reducing recidivism.

Social enterprise is not just a part of our mission at Vehicles For Change, it's a key player. This innovative approach allows us to further our impact and reach more individuals in need.

- **Freedom Wheels** is our auto outlet where donated cars that do not meet the criteria for awarding to families are available for purchase.  
- **Vehicles for Change VR** is a cutting-edge, location-independent training program that utilizes virtual reality technology to offer immersive training, equipping individuals with the expertise and skills needed to earn at least 2 ASE certifications and launch successful automotive repair careers. This arm of our social enterprise partners with community colleges, high schools, correctional facilities, workforce development programs, and other nonprofit organizations.
