Boots on the ground, grassroots community effort to make Seattle beautiful and safe for all to enjoy

We Heart Seattle is an action-based, boots-on-the-ground movement that organizes trash cleanups in our public spaces and offers resources to those in need.  Through our direct civic engagement we lead the way to a more compassionate and healthy community.

To meet these goals, we:

* Organize regular volunteer trash cleanups in public spaces
* Offer individualized assistance to those in need 
* Create a sense of community by welcoming everyone to be involved in real civic engagement
* Build a network of people who no longer walk by neighbors in need and areas needing repair while expecting someone else to help
* Utilize all available safe housing, shelters, and treatment facilities for anyone who is ready
* House our neighbors quickly without the typical restrictions, delays and inefficiency that has kept many on the streets
* Clean up litter and eradicate graffiti
* Develop great partnerships with like-minded stakeholders
* Work cooperatively with city and county employees and leaders

HERO House NW formed because of the clear need to develop more clubhouses in the state. Using economies of scale, we have been able to set the stage for our vision of a Washington State where clubhouse communities not only survive but thrive.

Casa De Maria Research Center is a nonprofit organization focused on holistic health and education. 

Casa de Maria is based in Everett, WA, with a branch office in Taos, NM. It received its nonprofit status in 1982 and was recertified in 2016.  We help people with PTSD and other emotional/mental/spiritual imbalances to heal and get their lives back on track through music, sound and light therapies, coupled with compassionate coaching.  

We are in the process of setting up a retreat center in Questa, NM to help people heal from trauma.

Sound Pathways helps individuals affected by alcohol, substance use, and/or mental health issues thrive in Snohomish County.

Sound Pathways, steadfast in its commitment to combating drug and alcohol addiction, has been a beacon of hope for Snohomish County for over 50 years. Our relentless pursuit to mend the broken threads of families touched by addiction has led us to the forefront of substance use disorder support.

Over time, we've learned that addiction doesn't discriminate - it cuts across all genders, identities, races, religions, ages, marital statuses, incomes, sexual orientations, zip codes, and professions. Our understanding of the deep-rooted complexities of addiction informs our approach, ensuring we leave no stone unturned in the battle against these devastating diseases.

Our wrap-around social services cater to all affected by substance use disorders, with special attention to pregnant and parenting women and men in need. Each year, we serve and support more than 5,000 people, breathing life into hundreds of families, reuniting them or saving them from the trauma of separation.

Our cornerstone initiatives include the Parent Child Assistance Program (PCAP), the Foundational Community Supports (FCS) Supportive Housing Program, and the Syringe Services Program (SSP). These programs, grounded in research, compassion, and non-judgment, offer critical resources aimed at stabilizing lives, promoting healthier behaviors, and rebuilding self-reliance.

Circle of Friends cultivates a community founded on acceptance by empowering those through creative self-expression in Arts.

Circle of Friends for Mental Health, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, exists to give all human beings who face mental health challenges, homelessness or addiction, a fresh chance to find their identity and a reservoir of healing through art programs in visual arts, music, writing and drama. Our programs serve as a natural enduring catalyst to aid people in their recovery. The people we serve have wide-ranging needs, and come from diverse cultural, social and economic backgrounds.

Art is one of the most powerful tools through which we can explore our inner voice and ultimately open our eyes to the voices within one another. While creativity is an important component of art, our programs unearth not only the creative voice, but also the deeper dimension of full expression of self.

Our mission, “healing through the arts” is based on our belief that healing and thriving can happen by building safe warm spaces for artistic expression within our communities. These spaces nurture and embrace our ‘circle of friends’ – volunteers, staff, mental health facilities, communities at-large, and those we teach and whom teach us – our artists.

Art also serves as a platform for opening up dialogue to increase awareness about the stigmas which socially stratify people living with mental illness, addiction and homelessness; and for generating solutions to overcome these stigmas
