With life-saving crisis intervention and suicide prevention services, Teen Lifeline lets teens in Arizona they are not alone.

Teen Lifeline's mission is to prevent teen suicide in Arizona through enhancing resiliency in youth and fostering supportive communities. We envision a world where all youth possess a sense of connectedness and hope for their future. Since 1986, we've been provided life-saving suicide prevention and crisis intervention services that are completely free to teens, families, and communities who need help. 

**Crisis Hotline & Texting Service**

Through our anonymous and confidential hotline and texting service, teens can call and talk to a Peer Counselor their same age who can help them with any problem they are having. From issues with friends to self-harm and thoughts of suicide, Teen Lifeline is there to help and listen. 

**Life Skills Training** 

To become a Peer Counselor, each volunteer goes through extensive training to ensure they have the skills to answer any call or text. They also receive valuable life-skills that they take through the rest of their lives. Peer Counselors begin their training between the ages of 15-19 and undergo a minimum of 72 hours of training from Masters-level clinicians. Peer Counselors are also supervised by these clinicians at all times while taking calls and texts.

**Prevention Education and Outreach**

Teen Lifeline works with schools and communities across Arizona to speak with students, parents, teachers, and other community members on ways that we can all prevent suicide. We ensure that people know about warning signs and risk factors to identify when someone they know needs help. To students, we also provide valuable skills to improve their own resiliency and help-seeking behavior. 

**Caring Contacts**

The few months following a hospitalization due to a mental health crisis or suicide attempt can be one of the most difficult and dangerous for a teen. Through our Caring Contacts program, Peer Counselors reach out to these teens for a year after their discharge to ensure that they know they are not alone. Through calls, texts, postcards, care packages, and other contact points, teens know that there is help and a community that supports them. 

Because all of these services are free to the community, support from individuals is critical to our mission. Together we can create save lives!

As our world continues to suffer from man-made systemic struggles like poverty, inequality, racism, violence, isolation, and ACES, Adverse Childhood Experiences, the need for increased access mindfulness skills becomes even more profound. Scientific studies, experts like Ellen Langer, as well as our own professional experiences, demonstrate that when we address the issues that stem from our most basic instincts - fear and stress, the pervasive problems we see in humans are impacted for the better.

Live & Learn is a community-based nonprofit in Phoenix, AZ. Our mission is to empower women to break the cycle of generational poverty. We serve women whose lives have been affected by extreme poverty, homelessness, and violence.  We give women the opportunity to pursue their education and a career, so that they can give their children a better future!  

Women like Amanda, who was homeless and pregnant when she came to Live & Learn.  With Live & Learn’s support, she didn’t give up. She made incredible progress. Now, Amanda is working full-time, has a beautiful baby boy, and is enrolled in a medical assistant program.

Live and Learn AZ

Southwest Recovery Alliance focuses on overdose prevention and HIV/HCV prevention by encouraging the use of harm reduction.

We are Southwest Recovery Alliance based in Phoenix, Arizona. Our mission is to prevent further transmission of diseases like Hepatitis C and HIV through harm reduction. Giving out lifesaving supplies and doing street outreach is an exceedingly small portion of what we do, although detrimental in making hard-to-reach, criminalized, and stigmatized populations accessible to us. One of our most crucial functions is serving as an access point for the many direct services we and our community partners provide. Naloxone administration certification is available onsite ensuring everyone receives the appropriate information and skills needed to combat the highly preventable deaths occurring daily in Arizona. For those who want to learn more about overdose prevention and HCV/HIV transmission, more in-depth trainings are offered virtually and in-person. One major driving factors in reaching at-risk populations is to make overdose in Arizona obsolete. The only way to accomplish this is by spreading awareness and promoting harm reduction strategies. Additionally, Hepatitis C and HIV transmission rates lower dramatically when people implement the habitual use of sterile tools and proper resources of educational value are readily available. This is where we come in: this is what we pledge to do every day for our community. We provide the tools to educate people on how to prevent an opioid overdose which is a current epidemic in Arizona, not to mention the whole US. The most common way Hepatitis C is transmitted is through shared syringes. We provide free syringes to people who come to our sites during the week. We also have an assortment of other tools needed for people to stay safe and prevent further transmission. Naloxone (Narcan) is given out to anyone who wants and needs it. We are 100% funded by donations. We give people the opportunity to donate at all of our outreach sites and platforms like every.org. All donations go strictly to purchasing the supplies that have been played a crucial role in keeping hundreds of our participants disease-free for almost three years. We value our participants as human beings who love and are loved just like anyone else in the world. We want everyone to feel comfortable in making healthier decisions and our services play a huge role in that. The Tiller Foundation

Humane Society Of Wickenburg is a nonprofit organization focused on advocating or providing services for animals. 

As the Largest No-Kill animal shelter in its area, the Humane Society of Wickenburg rescues, rehabilitates, and rehomes animals that have been abandoned, neglected, or abused from as far as 75 miles away.  This organization operates an animal shelter, housing up to over 100 dogs and cats at any given time.  Foster homes are also utilized to serve additional animals and offer socialization or specialized needs while the animal is being prepared for their forever home.  The organization also offers programs and services to the community such as Low-Cost Spay/Neuter Clinics, AniMeals (home delivered pet meals for homebound pets), a Feral Cat Program, a Pet Food Pantry, and Pet Health Assistance Program (subsidized veterinary medical assistance for pet medical emergencies or routine medical care).
