The Rincon Valley Union School District Foundation (dba Rincon Valley Education Foundation or RVEF) was formed in March 2003 in response to the State's growing financial crisis and its impact on schools. Founded by a group of parents and concerned community members wanting to preserve and improve current educational programs provided by the district, they crafted the original mission statement to be:

β€œThe purpose of the Foundation is to make sure our children get the best possible education by supplementing public funds and programs and promoting active involvement, innovation, collaboration, and communication between all members of our community.”

As the district's needs changed over time, so did the Foundation's vision and goals. Below you will find our current mission. The theme of creating excellence in education is still coupled with the idea of collaboration. But now, the partnerships between RVEF and RVUSD are more defined and connected.

OUR MISSION
Partnership
The Rincon Valley Education Foundation (RVEF) works with the Rincon Valley Union School District (RVUSD) to provide supplemental learning opportunities that broaden and enrich the students' educational experiences.
SUPPORT
RVEF supports the RVUSD's vision, goals, and objectives by providing stable, sustainable funding for program enhancements in targeted curriculum areas.
UNITY
RVEF unites families, staff, and community in its fundraising efforts so that we all share in the financial cost of an exemplary education as well as its success.

OUR HISTORY
RVEF began by hosting an Elementary Olympics and Carnival, raising money for music, science, and physical education. In the past 17 years, RVEF has given more than $700,000 to the Rincon Valley Union School District.

When a state has a money problem, it directly impacts education. This is why a group of parents and community members started RVEF in March 2003. These concerned citizens wanted to preserve and improve current educational programs in the district. The original mission statement reads:

"The purpose of the Foundation is to make sure our children get the best possible education by supplementing public funds and programs and promoting active involvement, innovation, collaboration, and communication between all members of our community."

As the district's needs changed over time, so did the foundation's vision and goals. The theme of creating excellence in education still intertwines with collaboration. But now, the partnership between RVEF and RVUSD is more defined and connected.

We invite you to join us in making a difference for our students!
