In the mountains of Arunachal Pradesh, India, Tashi lights up her Grade 2 classroom with unwavering joy and hope. Her students burst in each morning, eyes sparkling with curiosity with dreams of a brighter tomorrow—dreams fuelled by stories, numbers, and the magic of discovery. Yet without the right training, tools, and resources, Tashi and a myriad other Tashis in public schools across India fight an uphill battle to unlock the boundless potential of their wards.

This holiday season, embrace the season's spirit of giving, and let your generosity wrap every child in warmth and hope. India's public schools nurture over 50% of school going children, but in these schools more than 55% grapple with basic reading and math. Not from lack of talent, but from missing resources, both human and academic. At Reach to Teach Foundation, we bridge these gaps through collaboration and creation of culturally relevant material, activity-based learning and extensive teacher training to drive learning with curiosity and intent. Creativity and critical thinking are at the core of what we do. Children explore, question, and learn with teachers who are their beacons.

Our extensive outreach is driven through a design-led approach working and co-creating along with State Governments. Our design builds in Government functionaries as the ‘force multipliers’ and currently we reach 7 million children, 310,000 teachers, and 58,000 public schools through this approach.
