Mission

We strive to improve education outcomes by making learning joyful, working with Governments, partners, parents and communities, with foundational learning skills at the core.

 Need

In India, over 143 million children attend Government schools (UDISE+ 2021-22). However, according to NAS 2021, the national average performance of children across all grades and subjects is about 50%. Our focus is to bring children to grade-appropriate learning levels through bespoke interventions sharply focused on learning outcomes.

 Solution

Reach to Teach's approach focuses on improving education outcomes through revamping pedagogy and course content, capacity building of teachers, school heads and system officials, Foundational Literacy and Numeracy, developing accreditation frameworks for schools and creating a Comprehensive School Transformation Programme for K12 Grades.

 Impact

We started in 2007 covering 3000 out-of-school children to bring them into the learning net. Today, we work across 57,289 schools with 300,000 teachers reaching over 8.2 million children across four States.

Additional Information

At Reach to Teach, we aim to strengthen learning at a systemic level. We work closely with the State Education Departments of Gujarat, Haryana, Arunachal Pradesh, and Meghalaya to improve teaching and learning outcomes across all State Government schools.

Our suite of products, including School Accreditation Frameworks, Leadership Training and Continuous Professional Development, Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN) interventions, and a Comprehensive School Transformation Programme covers Grades K-12, with an emphasis on Learning Recovery and Learning Enhancement. To monitor and evaluate our work, we have an embedded MEL framework. We use technology as an enabler and a multi modal approach by using existing tech infrastructure in the State to create outreach. We are aligned with SDG 4 (Quality Education), 10 (Reduced Inequalities), and 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) and National Education Policy 2020.
