Psychedelic Literacy

At 94 years old, Stanislav Grof, continues to inspire people worldwide. He currently lives in Germany with his wife Brigitte, and usually comes to the United States once a year for a few weeks in October and November. Recently, he was in the hospital for 5 weeks because of a nerve inflammation in his leg. A few years ago, he also experienced a stroke, and although he recovered, he now requires full-time care and assistance with mobility. Despite these challenges, Stan dreams of returning to California in October 2026 to connect once more  - and likely for the last time in-person - with the community he has touched so deeply. We are launching this fundraising campaign to provide the support he needs. With your support, we can make this journey possible. Funds raised will cover the specialized medical care and travel needed to bring Stan and Brigitte to San Francisco and Esalen. People donating $5,000 or more will be invited to an intimate celebration in San Francisco at the end of October 2026, to honor Stan’s legacy and to learn from him. Your donation is tax-deductible and will be through the Psychedelic Literacy Project, our 501(c)(3) that has translated Stan's books and other seminal texts into various languages. A similar private gathering with Stan Grof in 2024 drew an extraordinary community together, with tributes from Rick Doblin, Marsha Rosenbaum, Susan Hess Logeais, Sean Kelly, Richard Tarnas, Jack Kornfield, Brigitte Grof, and Becca Tarnas. This may be one of the last opportunities to welcome Stan in person in the United States. Kristina and I are donating $10,000 to make this happen.
