The Community Foundation of Lorain County, established in 1980, serves as a dynamic foundation fueled by endowment funds contributed by individuals, families, businesses, and non-profit organizations. As an open and inclusive institution, our mission is to connect people who care with causes that matter. We adapt to the evolving needs of our community by providing grants to local non-profit organizations and offering scholarships to support the educational aspirations of local students.

In 2023, the Community Foundation of Lorain County experienced remarkable generosity, receiving over $5.9M in gifts. Demonstrating our commitment to the community, we distributed approximately $6.4M in grants and scholarships, contributing to the betterment of our community. As we concluded the year, our assets stood at $150M, reinforcing our dedication to the lasting impact we aim to achieve.
