The North Lincoln Hospital Foundation was created in 1983 to support Samaritan North Lincoln Hospital a 17-bed critical access, non-profit hospital located in the small coastal town of Lincoln City Oregon. Through donor support a new award-winning replacement hospital opened on February 4, 2020. The foundation plays an important role in meeting the health care needs of our community by funding facilities, equipment, services, and education. Every gift strengthens our hospital and health care in our community. Your gifts make it possible for Samaritan North Lincoln Hospital to provide quality health care and meet the mission of Samaritan Health Services to build healthier communities together. Working together with our sister foundation in Newport our current primary project is the creation of a substance use disorder residential and intensive outpatient recovery center. Historically, inpatient treatment centers require financial partnerships to create and maintain. As part of its mission, Samaritan Health Services is committed to operating a treatment and recovery center in Lincoln County but needs partners to finance the facility itself. As a nonprofit health care system, Samaritan Health Services doesn’t turn anyone away for inability to pay or insurance type. In response, the Pacific Communities Health District purchased a former adult foster care facility on NW Biggs in Newport to serve as a 16-bed substance use disorder residential and intensive outpatient facility for adults (18+). Patients will come from across Oregon with priority given to residents of Lincoln County. Programs will include group and individual therapy, medication-assisted treatment and peer-delivered services. Funds are being raised to equip and furnish the facility; build an 8000-sq-ft addition for a commercial kitchen, a medical exam room, meeting spaces and offices; and remodel the existing 4696 sq-ft building.
