How it all started... - How it all started...
New Hope Ministries, located in Pharr, Texas, began its ministry on July 8, 2000 with about ten to twelve people. Since then we have grown and expanded, with a focus on spiritual growth and expansion by way of supporting many missions. Our main goal is to reach the nations for our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Our church, which is located on a six-acre lot, welcomes everyone from all walks of life into our doors. The congregation itself is multicultural and consists of individuals who are taught to truly love one another and help one another as a church family. We praise God for this ministry, which is bilingual in both English and Spanish, (Spanish primarily) making it easier for us to spread the Gospel to more and more souls.
Our founder, Pastor Omar Hinojosa was in ministry for over forty years and graduated to be with the Lord on June 10th, 2019. He spent several years at a Baptist church in California and twenty-five years at a United Methodist Church. In 2000 he retired, but it was not long until he and his wife, Yolanda Hinojosa, felt called by the Lord to establish a church without denominational affiliation.

Expanding the vision...Expanding the Vision
In January of 2016, Pastor Omar Hinojosa was given a word that Pastor Frank Llanas and his wife, Myrtha, were the ones to take over the ministry that the Lord gave him. The vision thus continues to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ to a lost world, lead the lost to salvation and transformation only through the power of Jesus Christ, build relationships based on love, speak with truth in love, and to build His Kingdom for His Honor and Glory.
