Transforming a shipping container into a kickass nonprofit woodshop where more people can try woodturning. We especially welcome women and POC!
Turning a chunk of wood into something useful, beautiful, or new feels amazing (and powerful!). We think everyone should have a chance to feel that, but classes or equipment can be expensive or intimidating. The Lower 48 Woodshop was built to welcome more women and people of color in Oakland to feel the joy of turning wood into beautiful objects.
